Excellent food, excellent wine, excellent price and service! The red house wine is a must!! We had gnocchi with sausage and cheese, and a few different pllates of meat for seconds, and a few jugs of wine and didnt break 25e a head!

Just finished dinner here for the second time this week. As always it has been a fabulous treat. The food is only surpassed by the great staff. I've just eaten perhaps the best pasta dish I've ever had, the reviolii as good as it gets. absurdity superb. Just give this place a chance. If your ever in the area don't miss it. As always I finish my reviews with 2 questions. ... 1. Would I recommend this to a friend. ... Oh yes a big yes. ....2. Would I return to this place. ... Oh a big yes.... Please try it . It's superb.

We've been to this restaurant a few times now on our regular visits to this part og Italy, we find the food to be lovely, fresh and tasty, this coupled with maybe the best service in the region makes for a winning combination! The only negative we can think of is that the whole setting can scare some people off thinking the prices are going to be too high but the prices are very reasonable, try it and see....

Merita davvero le cinque stelle questo ristorante aperto da pochissimi mesi a Ponte Melfa, nei pressi dell'ippodromo. La location è accogliente, pulita e curata, il personale molto cortese e disponibile. La cucina è a dir poco eccezionale:lo chef stupisce con piatti originalissimi, accostamenti coraggiosi e azzeccati. Tutto imperdibile, dai primi ai dolci. Prezzi non cari, se rapportati all'alta cucina che qui si propone. Torneremo!

We have just savoured another wonderful meal in La Lanterna.This is my favourite restaurant in the Comino valley.The food is wonderful,the bean soup is to die for, pizzas are light ,full of flavour ,the best !!Everything is really good.The service is friendly,efficient and helpful especially Paul .Great wine ,reasonably priced The perfect meal .

We stumbled across this local restaurant in Broccostella by chance and was warmly welcomed by the owner Gianni. Despite my basic grasp of Italian he outlined the menu for us and explained which dishes were currently in season. My friend and I opted for some local fresh anti pasta and then decided to try the Irish and the Italian steaks. The steaks were presented on a sizzling hot plate which included roast potatoes and vegetables with a side of fresh homemade bread. The steaks tasted amazing and were both succulent and tender. The home made tiramisu is also a must. We have since revisited on our way back to Rome and have promised to come back on our next visit to Italy. la ringraziamo molto per la bella recensione. Noi e lo staff siamo davvero felici del fatto che lei abbia apprezzato i nostri prodotti . Have made a few visits to the restaurant over a couple of years. The quality of food has always been of a high standard reflecting regional Italian cuisine. To our delight the restaurant offers a takeaway service, with a young family this is very helpful. The desert looked particularly appetising!

This was a family dinner, as recommended by a friend. While the location is great - almost on top of a little hill and very well gardened - the food was ok but not special. Good and fresh but average for a restaurant. The service was a little pompous and they had no wine menu and no pizza (strange for a restaurant in the area). Serving was a little slow also. Pricey for the whole lot, I would say. Not sure if I will go back. There are better places around in Val Comino. Possibly good for events with children.
