We came here twice, neither time disappointed. Great staff, fabulous food. Fine dining without extortionate prices. Homemade breads and creamy butter. A muse bouche of mushroom and asparagus soup. Crispy asparagus topping. Divine starters of poached egg and mushrooms, creamy trout tartar, spaghetti and sardines or scollops. Main courses of cod special in a consommé really to write home about, chicken with olives, pork loin and fillet steak. Mouthwatering . We just love good food as you can tell . Always start by the way with a prosecco! Please go there the location is fantastic, if you like good food this is the restaurant for you! You need to book in advance . The restaurant is small and a hidden gem , tucked around the corner. It is fabulous ! So welcoming. We had risotto to start , which was the best we have ever had. Followed by a veal t bone . Presented beUtifully . A lovely complimentary chocolTe dessert was delicious . The service was faultless . Perfect timing in between courses. I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely lady that served us. ( think it was the owner) and a big thank you to the chef s for delicious food.We have travelled a lot and ate and many fine dining establishments, this restaurant is good! I think they are on their way to a Michelin star ...it was that good! Highly recommend .

A delicious dinner with an enchanting view and great service. A restaurant with a good choice for each course. spaghettini with oysters is exceptionally tasty followed by croaker with a really unusually tasty cream of celeriac. This restaurant also offers an excellent choice of desserts and I would recommend the macaron. A very good choice for lunch or dinner.

We wanted a good, simple lunch after an active morning. La Locanda did itself proud. I had the lasagna which is perhaps the best I've ever tasted. Noodles as light as a feather. Delicious!

Creative cusine, well executed. Maybe lacks a few small touches to make the food outstanding. Location is beautiful. Fresh roses on the table create a very romantic atmosphere. Of particular interest are the San Zago specials listed at the back of the menu, in particular the deer is not to be missed!

My family of 5 including 3 teenage girls ate here for dinner while on vacation. The service was amazing from the time we arrived. The waiter had helped us pick out dishes as well as the wine and drinks. The food was amazing. We had fish, steaks, pasta, desserts and each dish was extremely tasty and just perfect. The girls wanted to come back for another meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We tried the pasta rice trio sampler, the spaghetti with san marzano tomatoes was amazing, as well as all the others. Dessert was vanilla gelato with berries, this was super amazing in flavor....wish we were able to return again to try some other secondi dishes. Cooking is always top notch here, just as we remembered - one of the best. - have been dining here from many years ago, sometime around 2000. The quaint dimly lit dining room from years ago is missed - now the remodeled dining room is elegant and modern, and brightly lit. Candles on the tables, and dimmer lighting would add to the ambiance. Very comfortable seating. Hope to return.

Very friendly service at this modern styled restaurant, just one street back from the seafront, at the cathedral end of the old town. Staff were fun and friendly, food was well presented and tasty. Was accompanied by various little "treat" dishes between courses.

We have been returning to this area for 9 years and it was a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant of this quality in this area. The food was excellent and it deserves a much higher rating than the current one. Should be top 5 in Moniga and Manerba area. Only the bread could have been a little bit better, but we are not going to such a restaurant to eat bread anyway.Thank you for your kindest words!

This fine restaurant is situated away from lake Garda, therefor a bit less crowded. We were with four friends and tried to figure out the menu when this waitress came to our table and started talking Dutch. She speaks four or more languages so this was very helpful. We had a wonderful and good meal, with drinks and desert for less than â¬25,- each. We even got a discount mentioning the hotel we stayed. Do not hesitate to go there, you won't be disappointed.Grazie mille...Dank je wel Hopelijk tot een volgende keer!!
