Things to do in Salinas

Located right on the ocean, seating available in the sand as well as on patio and inside. Food was marginal. I ordered grilled corvina and grilled vegetables. Both were dry and tasteless. The vegetables were old tasting. House white wine was bitter tasting. Husband order some type of stew looking corvina. It was okay but certainly not inspired. Prices were overstated for quality of food. Service was very poor. Would not return.

This easily became my favorite eatery in Playa Las Salinas because of its vicinity to my apartment (on the same block). I could have anything I wanted: ceviche, fried whole fish, fried filet of fish, big shrimps, seafood rice, etc.. Cold beer was inexpensive, lemonade was freshly squeezed, and the environment was quite people first (the customer). I always had my favorite seat at the bar and got the best service. When it came time to pay the bill, I felt like there must be a mistake because I was so full and my bill was usually $10-12 for a plate of food and 2-3 beers. I must to also mention that Playa Las Salinas has a number of eateries that you can't go wrong with serving quality fresh seafood, however, this was my favorite service and environment and I will eat again and again when visiting Salinas. Happy Travels!!!!.

This is a wonderful new place at the San Lorenzo end of Salinas, behind the edificio Ancona. Maria Christina, the owner, has done a wonderful job creating a gastronomical oasis in Salinas. Really great seafood at reasonable prices, ceviche, fish, mariscos, pasta specials and even a kids menu. Her prices are super reasonable....between $6 and $15 for dinner. We went twice while visiting Salinas. Our first visit we both had a fish entree, super fresh....whatever was caught that day....it came with a choice of mixed vegies or salad and rice or potatoes. An incredible value for around $6.Our second visit we tried a shrimp and rice dish and a grilled calamari. Both good but we both preferred the fish from the first visit. You will also get a complimentary plate of "patacones" to share. The service is good although if it is crowded, they are a little slow. This will improve with time I'm sure. The waiter is very polite and does a good job. Ma Christina is very friendly and it is obvious she is making good decisions and is committed to having a successful business. As a side note, check out the great planter idea she had for the patio area....ingenious. The decor throughout is very nautical, in a rustic chic sort of way.Overall we were very impressed and will be back on our next salinas trip.

Located near midway of Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, this is one of the local attractions that draws huge crowds of visitors. There is a nice well maintained garden, a small glass window factory showcasing how Mapro products are made, a restaurant offering variety of foods plus ice creams etc, and a big sales shop selling various Mapro products at a discount. Visitors spend time enjoying open restaurant and or purchasing Mapro products like jams and syrups made from local fruits like Strawberries etc.Enough place for parking across the road where one can find small stalls selling local fresh fruits too.

Not just the octopus the burgers the fish the veggies the steak everything wonderful. Probably the only restaurant in salinas where you could literally at off the floor. I went to the ladies room and peeked in the kitchen wow so clean. Deserts a bit pricey but really really decadent.

This is a smaller restaurant that overlooks the malacón and the beach in Salinas. Seafood, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!! My husband said it was thr best fried fish he'd ever had, my shrimp pasta was superb, the lobster was amazing and the fried shrimp were awesome! The place is nothing fancy, service was good, BUT the food said it all! Highly recommended!!

Specialty meat and seafood, variety of menu in a lovely placeFall, in love with our unique atmosphere! Service and quality are our calling card. Enjoy our variety of menu.
I've been to Sogale twice, and have enjoyed both experiences. The latest trip was a Valentine's lunch with my wife. Due to our first meal at Sogale being excellent, the bar was set high for the second, and have to say there was a hair of a letdown. I ordered the lunch of the day and my wife the ceviche mixto. Lunch of the day, consisted of a stuffed zucchini starter(very unique), a egg drop/chicken asian fusion soup(crazy good), a main course of pork with sweet and sour sauce, and came with a mango juice. The food, not including the soup, came out room temp., but good flavors all around. My wife had a ceviche, which is seafood mixed with peppers, onion, tomatoes, and usually a lime based sauce. My wife likes it served cold like a shrimp coctail, and it too was a bit room temp. Other than that, pricing was around 20$ which is good considering that the place seems very popular. Only other down side was the wait for the food was a bit longer than I remembered from the first, but the crowd was huge, maybe a reason for it. Try the corvina in salsa mariscos, it's a sea bass topped with a creamy seafood salsa, or the camarones ajillo, grilled shrimp in a garlic sauce...both crazy good.

This place is very close to the beach, so great location. Nice spacious interior. I ordered chicken and rice, and it was pretty disappointing. My friend ordered ceviche with shrimp, which apparently was good. So I'd rate the chicken "poor." Service was prompt and friendly however and prices are good.

being of Italian heritage and having travelled to Italy MANY times, I was reluctant to dine in an Italian restaurant outside of Italy. however, a group of friends chose this location and boy am I glad we joined them. the food is absolutely delicious. the service is outstanding and location is great (walking distance from malecon of Salinas) I was so impressed that, we had dinner reservations at a different restaurant for 2 days later with another set of friends. and we cancelled and immediately made reservations at casa Rabotti again. and they impressed us the second night as well. (we all ordered different things from the menu - and everything was delicious ) I highly recommend you include casa rabotti on your list of places to eat . cant wait to go back in December.
