On the recommendation of a friend, I had the pleasure of having dinner and wine at one of the newest foodie places in Salem. I used to live and Salem and know it has some of the best eateries in MA. Stella's didn't disapoint. My friend and I shared an entree and each had the beet salad (yummy)! We tried several different wines at the bar. The atmosphere is really inviting. This new restaurant is worth a try.

Our family just arrived in Salem and wanted a great, filling lunch that wasnât outrageously expensive! And, we all wanted seafood. The reviews on Trip Advisor for Dot & Rayâs were spot on! Three of us had fried haddock (sandwich/meal)and one had a lobster roll (on a gluten free bun). We had sweet potato fries, onion rings, & regular fries. The best out of the 3 were sweet potato fries. Get those! Prices were between $7-15 for meals. This is a âdiveâ-truly nothing fancy, but the price was right for the delicious food along with friendly service!

If you like fried seafood then this is the place for you! I didnât like the fact they donât allow substitutes for anything i.e.Onion rings instead of fries. We left feeling so stuffed and realized we canât eat fried seafood more than once per year.

My ticket for Salem Witch Museum indicated that I could get a discount here, so I went. Unfortunately, the discount applied to food only, & I only wanted a drink. Also, unfortunately, they were out of my 1st choice in beer. But, the server/bartender was friendly, & this was a great place to kill about an hour on a rainy afternoon.

We were here with part of a wedding party the day after the wedding. We had just finished breakfast, so we weren't really hungry, but I ordered a cider and my husband got a drink. We were outside and the people in our party were going and coming, so I'm sure we weren't a favorite, but drinks took a LONG time to come out. By the time we got them, I was getting a little hungry, so I ordered some fries and my husband got nachos. Food took awhile as well. Nothing was wrong with our experience really, it just wasn't super memorable.

We are a local dive bar that secretly has class. Great food, great service all served in a very casual atmosphere with absolutely no pretense. We're a little place with a big heart. The Shanty has been serving the Good People of Salem for 30 years and is a
The best Connecticut style lobster roll I've had anywhere, but I recommend ordering it to go. The wait service was terribly slow. I had to ask for our check twice and then after waiting another ten minutes finally had to go hunt down a member of the wait staff to get it so we could pay and leave.

Seafood Waterfront Casual Dining, Full service Restaurant & Oyster Bar. Featuring Outside Dining, Water Views, Outside Bar, Fresh Seafood & Grilled items.
We sat on the patio, in the sun, with a view of the water. I had the Hot for Teacher and the Old Fashioned cocktails and both were really good. I got the half pound steamed crab with butter. Sooo good! My dad had lobster Mac and we shared apple cobbler. Service was great. Especially when my 2nd Old Fashioned was not good like the 1st one and he took it off the bill.

I was looking after my young granddaughter on a beautiful fall day and stopped here for lunch because the patio beckoned me and I wanted some fresh seafood. I enjoyed the grilled octopus which was a bigger portion than I had expected with lovely fingerling potatoes as well as an order of fish tacos that I had to have boxed up to take home. The food was lovely, the service was friendly and the Prosecco made the experience even nicer.

My first suggestion - make a reservation if you are in Salem for Haunted Happenings. When we checked in people were being told the wait was 3 hours! We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation and greeted quickly. Our server was very pleasant and did not make us feel rushed even though they were extremely busy. We both had fried shrimp which was perfectly cooked with a light breading. Everything arrived hot. We shared a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. They also had a seasonal cocktail menu which was creative. Very good experience and we would definitely return.
