What a fab stop off point on the cycle route. Excellent waitress service and The Fruits de Mer platter was excellent, a lovely chilled .5l of Rose with wonderful views of the Ocean, what more can one ask for! Make the effort to stop off here as you will not be disappointed. Thank you and well done!

Visited this restaurant on our second day on the Island. Most welcoming reception and excellent service. Could not find fault, so much so that we visited it again the following day. Food, although not cheap, was excellent, could not fault it. Waiter who served us was from New York originally and he was excellent, very friendly and excellent at his job, would like to say a big thank you to him.

Fresh oysters from our production, served on our terrace facing the ocean, the Cabane Oceane invites you to enjoy a plate of oysters, and come great dishes that can come with. Our staff is ready to welcome you and make sure you have a fantastic time !
One of several ostréicultures (oyster farms) nr St Martin where you can get fresh seafood - live oysters, fresh cooked bulots (whelks) and cooked crevettes. What makes this one special is the view over the oyster beds, and chic decor. Yet despite looking like a fancy hotel roof garden, it was mid priced, family friendly, and very welcoming. The wines were great too. The guy at the bar was also fully bilingual (Eng/Fre). No bookings, so if the weather is good, get there early.

We never had oyster, and this is the best place to try it out. They have there own production so its very fresh. They were very patient to explain us how its supposed to be eaten. We had a go with the oysters as well as very good shrimps. It was a very fun experience. Moreover the location is fantastic. I will definitely go back. Easy to park or to bike to, right by the sea. You can also just go for a drink.

We thought ok. Main of bass was well cooked but accompanying vegetables were bland. Risotto of crevette better but very rich. The rolls ( Vietnamese style) tasted odd. We definitely would not order again. Wine was good as was appertifs but food let the night down. Bill was â¬111 with no dessert. Alot for a IL de Re.

I am surprised this restaurant is no 3 on trip advisor - the mere fact it is right on the coastmay account for that and then the seafood is excused. There a few cabana or shack restaurants around the coast- they are attractive because they are rustic and simple and the food speaks for itself.Yes it is busy and wait for a table as there is no reservation system. The service is very mediocre with few staff run off their feet- so typical of France as a result of their employment laws. The restaurant is very exposed - it was an intensely hot day and none of the umbrellas were up which I found strange but give them credit hats were availableNow for the food.We had stopped at fish market over the bridge and were able to see for ourselves the wide choice of fresh fish available. The only fresh fish let alone any fish available was dover sole grilled on the skin in flour and oil - not very interesting no herbs and with potato.-22â¬The reviews state how amazing the oysters - this is not a standout there are so many outlets on the island that provide qualityThere were no mussels. The langoustine supposedly 'fresh' from Scotland were absolutely terrible - extremely mushy and still frozen in parts - I suspect straight out of the box and thawed.Obviously the crevettes were imported This place is just a tourist trapStrongly suggest if you want the authentic experience go to Cabane de la Faneau - sublime tranquil setting nature they farm there own prawns and it shows.Their oysters were on another level - sublime delicate taste without an overriding saltiness like many other place

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Seafood at its best from source to table in a few hours. Atmosphere perfect, host warm and engaging, staff attentive and helpful. This is one of those experiences that we will be remembered for all the right reasons. Would I go back, absolutely. If you are in the area and like seafood, definitely go here. Well done to all at Le tout du Cru!
