First we got the wrong appetizers but they were good. Hearts of palm calamari style, and calimari,,,,, parm fries were soggy. Then the food, my husband had the salmon salad which had mostly bad lettuce... he hated that. For heaven's sake, if you're plating lettuce, make sure it's fresh, please. I had corn crab soup. Soup was lukewarm with two lumps of maybe crab in it. The flavor was good but soup was not hot. As someone else mentioned, the music was way too loud. We had to repeat everything we said. annoying. Not wasting my time or money here again.

We got the fried squid and braised fennel as appetizer. The squid was light and fresh, and the fennel was rich and unexpected. We split the whole red snapper with a salad and spaghetti with marinara. They only had oil and vinegar as a dressing which was a negative for my husband who's a ranch fan, but we can understand the limited selection given a seemingly family owned small restaurant. Also only a couple beer and wine by the glass options, so don't expect craft brews or the like. Overall we liked it, despite the loud and crowded atmosphere. It's definitely worth a try for the unique and tasty food.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a staff member at our hotel, so I took his advise and went there. The place is nice inside, and there is also outdoor seating. The waitress was friendly and fast, and made several drink suggestions. I ordered the lobster tail stuffed with crab cake, potato croquette, and asparagus. If I had read the reviews of this restaurant I would not have been surprised that I received half a lobster tail, not a whole one. In fact, it was a pretty small tail considering the price, and it was slightly overcooked. While the crab cake lacked a lot of filler, it also lacked taste. Unfortunately, I am used to eating seafood in Maryland, where things are seasoned to provide extra flavor. Several pieces of asparagus were too stringy to eat, but the potato croquette was quite tasty. If I had received a whole lobster tail that was not overdone, and if the crab filling was seasoned better, I would then consider the meal a good value. However, that was not the case.

We very much enjoyed a business dinner here. The service was excellent, the food even better. Among other dishes, we tried the octopus appetizer, pan seared fish, paella, smoked caesar salad, and a pasta dish. Everything was not only delicious, the flavor combinations were creative. Very tempting menu. Delicious deserts, too--a peach and blueberry cobbler and strawberry shortcake with a twist of lime.So happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! Thank you for the kind words.

Our family (6 adults & 2 children) celebrated our youngest grandchild’s birthday at the Jefferson recently. Superb quality and variety of food — ranging from oysters on the half shell & jumbo shrimp to prime rib, ham, outstanding vegetables and salads... and then, there’s the dessert table. It’s amazing and beautiful! Although a bit expensive, this brunch is worth every penny. The atmosphere is exquisite and the service is great. We visited here based on a desire for seafood and Trip Advisor posiitive reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful table by the window overlooking the river and could enjoy the sunset. Our fish entrees were delicious and the service was attentive. We were even able to find a Malbec wine on the list that was from the area in Mendoza we had stayed at when visiting Argentina. Overall, it was a lovely relaxed evening that we thoroughly enjoyed. We're happy to satisfy your seafood craving! So glad that you enjoyed everything. It sounds like you came at the perfect time. A group of about 40 pre-arranged and pre-ordered lunch here. They started cooking only after we arrived, and so the service was very, very slow. Food delivered in fits and starts, with some folks served an hour after the first group got their food. Most people enjoyed their food very much, especially those who ordered traditional fare. My garden salad was very fresh and delicious, though I wish I'd been asked about a choice of dressing. The side order of crab cakes were underwhelming, served lukewarm at best, not particularly flavorful and with no side sauce.

We enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner at Bookbinder's. The dining room is lovely and comfortable. Our server was attentive, and shared his recommendations with us. The wine list was extensive, and we found a delicious wine to enjoy with dinner. Our food was excellent, and we recommend the shrimp bisque, pan seared scallops with fennel salad, herb grilled swordfish, red bliss mashed potatoes, cheesecake and mixed berry bread pudding. The restaurant's quiet, unhurried atmosphere, our server, and delicious wine and food made the evening special. It was nice to speak to other couples who were also celebrating anniversaries, and with the owner who came to our table to ask about our evening. I highly recommend Bookbinder's.
