I ordered Hokke , local favorite fish with miso mixture on top. It was good. Others ordered sushi and fried seafood and found it good. In one room there is a charcoal grill where the fish is prepared. Stools encircle the chef. It was fun to watch the cooking of octopus, suid and sea urchin. You can bring your own wine. There is a grocery store downstairs from the restaurant

A 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal, the restaurant stays open after 2 pm. We tried the charcoal grilled fish set. That's the specialty of the house. And we're not disappointed. The restaurant has a special grill table and the fish is grilled just in front of you. You eat it with the chopsticks as it is on the grill. The seasoning was made of spring onions and fish eggs. That was just perfect for a delicate palate. We also ordered some sea urchins . And once again it was delicious.

A convenient location to grab lunch before taking an early afternoon ferry over to Rishiri Island or back to Wakkanai. Fairly bland in terms of decor, the lunch though was delicious! The staff we friendly and re-active. They were able to accommodate a custom kaisendon order. It got quite busy on our particular lunch day as it seems to be a spot for tour groups to have lunch. Getting there a bit before lunch time is recommended before the staff is overwhelmed. They also have a limited number of daily specials, another reason to arrive early.
