have been there now twice with 8-10 people. grown ups and toddlers. enough space for a chariot, friendly staff with big patience for kids. food good, value good, great view. sitting there inside or on deck and watch the beach and the waves. perfect stop during an afternoon walk, or having breakfast or dinner with family and friends. the variety of home made cakes is not very big but what you get is tasty. anytime again

We were there in February 2016.. It was awesome! It's a little multicultural restaurant in the centre of this amazing island! The food is Mediterranean and the prices are absolutely affordable! The owner is a crazy guy but very polite and courteous.. We were very surprised that the waitress served us in English as well. Altogether.. It was an enjoyable evening and when we come back to Germany we will definitely visit this restaurant again! Greets from the other side of the world to all of them!

This restaurants is located right in between the dunes near Rantum. On a small path leading away from the main street you come across this restaurant. We sat outside as the weather was good so I can not say anything about the inside. The outside sitting area is divided into two parts. We sat in the left corner. The problem is that the restaurant itself and the surrounding dunes keep the sitting area in the shadows for a good amount of time throughout the day. Therefore even at lunchtime it seemed all moist from the morning dew. And that is a slight downturn, the floor and some of the roofed wicker beach chair have moss and the dirt from the dunes collects itself in the corners. That should be taken care of.On the other hand the food was great. We had a local crab-soup and a crab-salad. Together with the drinks everything was good. Service was ok. Prices were ok as well, for the drinks maybe on the higher side. A juice mixed with water 0,4l cost more than my bigger wheat beer? Strange.Otherwise recommended for the food.

Following a recent recommendation, again by my hotel, I went to this place. Please nite that parking is limited. While waiting staff were friendly throughout, the food was only average, at best. The restaurant offers two dinner sittings: 6 and 8 pm. For starters I had chanterelles (very bland) and rösti, which was ok. For mains I ordered trout with sage sauce, potatoes dauphoinse and a salad. If you like bland food- look no further. Unfortunately, to me it's just an average eatery. I will not be back.

Really loved the kitchen&service at Tellerand, very nice team and amazing food, great fish dishes! The dessert was a big surprise - the Easternegg - but also everything else was just delicious! Great place to go with your friends enjoying the nice atmosphere and fresh food!

Guess the island has not learned about service yet. After reading in a magazine that this is Sansibars sister we decided to give it a try although the menu doesn't look to spectacular. Even got a booking on a Friday night outside. Upon arrival the service greeted us in a very rude way. When we said we'd like to have a look they said we have to ask for permission. When we said we have a booking outside they said they would give us a nice table inside. So we decided to go and leave our money at Sansibar which has better service and food for the same price. While leaving the manager gave us a rude comment.

Located just off the stairs down to the main beach the Strandmuschel is located at a premium location. While this can be a bit of a disadvantage during the main season, we are still frequent customers of the Strandmuschel. We love to go there off-season or off-peak and snack a few scampi in garlic oil. I personally try to copy these scampi for years, but I have no clue how they manage to serve the scampi in sizzling oil without them turning hard. The Strandmuschel has three sections:1. Indoors, the small, slightly darkish part of the original building (I never sat in this section).2. The winter garden which is the bright, open add on to the building, perfect for families, groups and interaction off season3. Outdoors chairs, tables and beach chairs are providing a nice location during the sunny season. The staff is very friendly and happily stays for a chat (if you want to). You might also come for a sundowner. Prosecco is half price the last 20 minutes of the sunset.

I enjoyed eating here, the service was friendly, they had an asparagus menu, due to the asparagus season, and a good choice of fish. It has no sea-view, but the atmosphere is cozy, and they have a garden to eat in as well.

We booked a table here for dinner after reading the reviews and were not disappointed.Being only two people, we couldn't try many dishes but what we ordered was great. We had the lamb sausage with sauerkraut, green herring with sauteed potatoes and cucumber salad and tagliatelle with crispy fried prawns and thai veggies in coconut sauce. All excellent! Pricey but portions were large, so ok.
