Typical Venetian restaurant. Specialties grilled meat. Pizzeria with wood oven. Fish on Friday evenings and Sunday lunch.
Just outside Venice proper in Marcon is a hidden gem. The genuine Italian food is served with a friendly staff that invites you in like you are part of the family. One of the owners, Nicola, came to the table to chat and wouldn't let us leave until we took him up on free dessert. The prices were reasonable and the cfood was fabulous. Grazie di cuore da tutto il personale. A rivederci presto.

Tel:0422.829124 ; Discovered this trattoria by chance whilst visiting the National Archeological Museum ofAltino a few hundred metres along the same road. At weekends this place is really busy with local Italian families and people returning from a day on the lagoons at the beach. The menu is fairly simple with excellent local dishes/meats and fish. As well as good food the cost was extremely reasonable - 3 course meal for 2 with a litre of house wine cost 36 euros. Important to book if possible as there were a steady stream of guests and at one stage all three dining rooms were full on a Sunday night.

Although the restaurant was busy on this Saturday night, we had a leisurely dinner there with eel and octopus appetizers followed by "black" pasta and gnocchi, Tomasi wine and water. Service was a bit slower than is probably usual because of the local party occupying the restaurant.

With an early flight next morning we situated ourselves in the Area. Blimey Charley it was absolutely incredible. The kitchen didn't open till 730pm but it was a wait most worthwhile. This is not your average Italian - this is proper delicious traditional Italian food but on steroids. Not a bolognese or lasagne is sight BUT a menu much much better. All four of us had incredible meals & the kind that you go away still tasting & enjoying as its so good! Wow!

Food is delicious. My family of 4, including 2 older children, were made to feel very welcome by this restaurant. They explained some things we did not understand on the menu. A good variety. Good for just a drink as well. Would recommend this.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant is tastefully ad elegantly decorated and the surrounding gardens are very well kept and lined with statues. We went for dinner so the setting was very romantic; a perfect place for a little get away or a wedding! All of us had different meals: risotto, cuttlefish, fillet di manzo, and seabass. All were cooked to perfection and not one plate was left unclean. For dessert, we also had the crema catalana which was to die for. All in all, next time we're near Venice, we will definitely go out of our way to have a meal or two here!

We recently stayed in Quarto D' Altino, about 30 minutes outside Venice, Italy. We dined at the Ristorante Pizzeria Vecio Decimo ... and our meal was fantastic. They have a rather limited wine by-the-glass selection, but the food is quite good, and the house wines okay.

We were staying at the Borgo caâdei Sospiri for 2 nights .We could not eat dinner at the Borgo our first night due to a wedding taking place there. We were directed to Da Odino for dinner which was a short walk from the Borgo. The food was delicious and the waitstaff could not have been nicer. When we got up to leave my husband did not see a step up and ended up falling on the floor.Immediately , the staff rushed to his aid, assisted him to a chair , and brought the necessary supplies to clean up his wound and then drove us back to the Borgo. Grazie to everyone and thanks for a delicious meal!

Recently spent 4 nights just down the road and due to the over priced Hotel food we fortunately found this lovely restaurant. The owner and his daughter were most friendly, chatty ( I'm fluent in Italian so obviously that helped) and the food was top quality.Definately recommend this to anyone.

It was real treat to have dinner in this excellent restaurant with some or majority calabrese disches as the owner said. I would suggest not to miss antipasto dela casa which is just introduction to fine cuisin that you will try here, after that you may continue with extraordinary calabrese pizza or if you like spicy food you should try Sclilatelli con anduja (some extra spicy calabrese sausage, tomato, olives, in chees eatable "basket"- pure perfection). Great value for money-antipasto, primo, pizza, beer, vine (1/4l), sorbetto- 37eur, plus grappa & limonchelo on the house. Great, reccommendation, we will be back.
