Binz is full of restaurants. Mainly average tourist places with steaks, chips, tired lettuce etc...Fischmarkt serves indeed fish - quite good without any fuzz. Simple dishes, large portions and not overcooked ingredients. It is a good relief in this area filled with fast food and overpriced hamburgers.Recommended if you're in Binz.

The restaurant itself, its great decoration and furniture give a soul and a feeling one would have in an old library. Extremely cosy and warm, one could spend hours here. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional, on arrival and during our meal. We had a stunningly tasty pear and celery soup as a starter ( Birnen Selleriecremesuppe). We then each had the 'Himmel und Erde' ( black pudding with applesauce and mashed potatoes) and the 'Edel-Labskaus', specialities from Germany both of which we very much recommend. The quality and the sauces with the meat were particularly delicious. We couldn't resist ordering dessert and it is actually clever of them to offer smaller portions of creme brulee and chocolate tart which were both excellent. The wine we had was equally good. Why 5 stars? because for the price it was simply perfect, neither cheap nor expensive. We will definitely return there on our next visit to Binz.

Who makes a good roast, also has a good heart! We are happy to think back to our childhood, when we wrapped by a thousand scents felt safe and understood kitchen in Oma's us. It has been talked, cooked and lived with all your senses. With us our regional
Firstly, the atmosphere is very cool. Eating at this place is an experience. It's very cute and the put a lot of attention to detail. Service is also great. The food is good too, but in my opinion it isn't great. Definitely don't order salads. The steaks are huge (more than 400g) and tasty. But it's also a bit on the pricier side.

Following recommendations on TripAdvisor we were lucky to get a table in Weltenbummler on a crowded Saturday evening. As they claim to have excellent steaks, we both tried the beef filet. And indeed the meat was cooked exactly as ordered, side dishes were good and the price was ok.The waitress brought the wrong bottle of wine (âIt was the only one I could findâ) and one of our two steaks was plain cold. Unfortunately we didnât see any waiter after the food was brought to our table, so I resorted to eating the cold steak. A compliment to the chef as even in that state the steak was still very good. We finished the main course, I told the waitress that the meat was cold, which was received with an âohâ and sat there for 30 more minutes, unable to order dessert. When another guest on the next table went to fetch a waiter, everybody around us started to pay and we joined in, afraid of the waiting time for more food.Overall, food is very good, service is friendly but lacking, at least on crowded evenings.Sorry about that!! We hope you join us again and than we serve it hot!! Sorry and see you soon! Sebastian

We were not really welcomed from the beginning on no hello or welcome just got the menus dumped on the table.... Menu is a wide selection. Lobster bisque is definitely from the can so I believe other dishes as well. Food was at most mediocre and presentation not good. Service was the worst we waited 15 minutes until our table got cleaned and we could ask for the bill although the place was only half empty! I believe good place for beer and drinks NOT for dinner. Overall disappointing !

We were looking for a good restaurant for dinner after a long and tiring day, and were delighted this hotel managed to squeeze us in to their small dining room (we were staying elsewhere.)The local produce and seafood were excellent, as was the ambience and presentation. Our meal was served by extremely knowledgable and helpful staff, who suggested a wonderful German wine to accompany our fish. We chatted with them for ages after our meal, while savouring a post-dinner whisky. They were interested why we had come to Rugen island (not many non-Germans do) and made recommendations for our forthcoming days.

We needed three attempts to finally get smoke fish from the Berta! The fish smoke house/boat opens daily from 11am and closes whenever the fish is out or there is no traffic at the harbor. The latter happened to us twice during the week around 5pm! Anyways, we finally were able to snatch some smoke fish before noon at the Berta and it was amazing!I am addicted to smoke fish and I can tell the difference! If you have a chance go for the salmon (Lachs), halibut (Heilbutt), makarel (Makrelle)!+ best smoke fish on the island of Ruegen+ awesome location: boat at the harbor of Lauterbach- odd hoursCash only!
