its a small outdoor restaurant among a sea of restaurants in the area where local fishermen have their fish market - the food was AMAZING, but not the most tourisy place

We went for Tacu Tacu which was okay. But they tried to cheat several times with the price for the beer and the food. They probably thought we are tourists and simply too stupid to notice it. When we told them that they obviously tried to cheat they even did not appologize, not offered any coffee as compensation - nothing. Instead, they made an angry face and did even not say goodbye. I will certainly not go to that place anymore. I also planned to have the company Christmas dinner in that place first, but now for sure not anymore. The service was also poor as we had to wait way too long until we could order and also after that until we got simple stuff as Tequeños (which were obviously just from the deep frier) and even the drinks took about 20 minutes leading to our conclusion that they had to buy the studd first.

This restaurant is well known by the locals in Lima. We stopped there on our way to Paracas. Being an "extranjero (foreigner)" I did not exactly enjoy this restaurant. It is in a poor area outside of Lima but they are one of the only rest and food places between Lima and the beach areas. They are known for their chicharron and my husband and his family raved about the flavor. I am a vegetarian so I couldn't eat anything at this restaurant. I did partake in the very black and terrible tasting coffee they offered. I guess I need to be from Lima to understand how fabulous this pit stop is, but next time I'd prefer to keep driving.

Mario the owner has great taste, he used to cook more back in the days but this place is always been one of the best offers at Punta Hermosa, the pizza is very good and the Piscos to die for!!Request the "Tirashimi" as mix of japanese sashimi and Peruvian ceviche! Is a beautiful thing to tasteThanks for your comments, come back soon!
Something like 8 soles for a small bowl of iceberg lettuce with half an avocado splattered on top, no seasoning - that pretty much summed up our experience. The food took a long time to arrive, with a long wait between dishes. The fish fillet was dry, chips tasteless, sudado lacking flavour, a small serving of fried squid for 40 soles, Maracuya juice tasted like it was made from a sachet. On the plus side, their ceviche mixto was very good.

We stayed in Punta Hermosa for 4 days on this trip and a couple of days when we were there 2 years back. Marcelo's is by far the best seafood place around. They also make some mean Chilcanos.Family friendly, fresh seafood and no frills...just the way I like it.

Stayed in Manuel's with friends while vacationing in Peru and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Their welcoming environment and pristine rooms made for a very comfortable stay. Downstairs their family run restaurant had everything one could want for a real Peruvian experience. Their dishes were authentic, fresh and delicious. The family was very fast and attentive to all of our needs and worked very hard to keep all their customers satisfied. I definitely recommend Manuel's to anyone looking for a genuinely welcoming and comfortable experience. The beach was in walking distance and the rooms had wonderful views with an upstairs patio that was very beautiful and well maintained. I left feeling very lucky to have stumbled upon such a gem and can't wait to go back! Very highly recommended!
