I wrote a review a few weeks back and things were not right. I went back a few times since and there has been no improvement that I can see, on the contrary. I finished up with the saddest and thinnest burger that I ever had. A couple of people came in, looked at the prices and left. A customer ordered a pie, the money was taken and after a good ten minutes he was informed that they were out of the specific pie that he wanted. How can you finish up out of stock early on a Friday night before a busy weekend ? the chips are no longer what they used to be either. So sad. I cannot see a reason for going back. Come back Trevor!, we love you!

Porto Grill is a modern style Portuguese restaurant, catering for all groups and families. We serve traditionally Portuguese cooked steaks, burgers, tapas and much more. Come and enjoy your night out in Portugal!
Passed this place a few times and thought it was worth a visit. Not disappointed, the food and hospitality was first class. A unique atmosphere with the music. You must go for the skewer menu. A long hanging skewer packed with meat, peppers, onions was delicious, served with chips and salad. On leaving we were given a glass of port and 20% off our next visit. Checking my diary for my next free date!!!

Reserved on line via web site. No issues with booking. Table quickly allocated. Took from The a la carte menu and chose seafood mixed grill and the steak. Both well cooked and great to eat. Finished with cheese platter. Even though it was a Saturday night service was good and attentive.

We were on a short break holiday and popped in here last week for lunch. Surprisingly busy on a week day out of season. We found out why though, the food was absolutely superb as was the service. Great ambiance with lovely views over the Solent. The scallop and bacon on brioche rolls were outstanding and my wife's crab salad on sourdough was pronounced as superb. And for an extra special delight, try the haloumi fries, take care though as they could cause serious damage to the waistline. All in all, highly recommended. Wish we lived closer, it's a long drive from Scotland.

Went for breakfast whilst the Great South Run was on. Asked if they had gluten-free options and was presented with a full menu. The server wasn't particularly welcoming/plesant, when I asked if I could swap my fried egg for scrambled I was told the kitchen was too busy to make changes (there were at least 12 people working that I could see and the restaurant was barely in use). My breakfast was brought out by another server who asked me if the sausages were gluten free, I said I had asked the first server to check but she didn't come back. She kindly went and checked and no, they had served me a gluten free breakfast with a sausage that contained gluten, as they had just changed supplier. She took the plate away to redo my breakfast to avoid cross-contamination and pop a bit more bacon on it. They just re-plated it as far as I could see, the toast was the same but now cold. Considering the GF breakfast is the same as the normal but with the bread changed and anything else containing gluten removed it was the same price. The food was nice enough, the decor and location are great but given that I am coeliac which is an auto-immune disease and not simply a choice I wouldn't bother again, they were not worried about making me ill.

Called in for a light lunch. The service was excellent, drinks brought to the table, rare for a pub. Served a range of light bites. The real ales were very well kept. Quite rightly this pub is in the 2020 good beer guide.

Fish & Chips is one of life's great pleasures. The smell of salt and vinegar on hot freshly cooked battered fish and chips is hard to beat and this national dish is well and truly part of British culture. The Fisherman's Kitchen was born from our love of
Great find, whilst looking for a fish & chip restaurant. Takeaway with small seating area with good ambience and lovely helpful & friendly staff. Disappointed there was no plaice on the menu. There is a catch of the day and gluten-free and non-fish options. Quite different menu, with interesting sides and tried coleslaw with parmesan, cauliflower popcorn, smoked salmon fishcake, all delicious. Kids eat free 4-6pm Mon-Fri was an added bonus. Parking on street in parking bays.
