Nice little simple restaurant with local atmosphere, fresh fish from Porto Santo every day, very tasty cooked. Very friendly owners, considering special wishes e.g. smaller portions. Nice little outside space well protected from wind. For me one of the best restaurants here.

We picked the Mar E Sol restaurant because it was set back, high up above the beach and it looked charming - we weren't disappointed. The team at Mar E Sol were run off their feet - it was a public holiday but we were pleasantly greeted and sat down to wait for the menu.We ordered some sparkling water, a beer and two main courses - the chap that took our order didn't write anything down, it took three requests for my husband's beer to arrive, he was very apologetic.When my scabbard fish sandwich arrived it smelt delicious - the chips looked good too. My husband's pork chop needed some seasoning but he was happy and I pinched his salad to add to my sandwich. My sandwich was gorgeous and very filing - I could have eaten another one, I was a little bit hung-over from the festivities in Funchal the night before.It took a while for the bill to arrive but it wasn't expensive and the food was very good - it was definitely worth the wait.

Great place for a couple of drinks and light meals. Situated on the best sand dunes of Porto Santo, The beach is great and you can enjoy a good day without leaving the area. Busy place as well and gets ven busier on thursday nights

this is a really cool restaurant with excellent food, but what makes it really unique is the location : right on top of the dunes near the beach, with a magnificent view over the ocean. Sitting with your feet in the sand drinking your favourite drink you feel on top of the world. It doesn't get much better than this.

After riding ATV's like madmen on the cliffs of Porto Santo, defying death and reason a nice seafood spaghetti in a serene setting was just the thing i needed. Nice place, friendly for family or party people. Food was very nice, scene was exellent, service was meh.A swim in the Atlantic was for dessert.

During the Rota do Atum, a well known hotel was unwilling to deal with one of our party being allergic to fish. O Jorge was very willing and able to do so. It is this level of attention to detail and dealing with each person as an individual which makes O Jorge special.The tuna dishes were superb and, as usual in Madeira, portions were generous and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection. A casual atmosphere, as befits Porto Santo, in a quirky location makes O Jorge quite a special night out - long may it continue.Thank you, we were pleased that we were able to meet your needs. We appreciate your comment and sharing the good experience in our restaurant.

Special restaurant this one collected from our hotel and driven to the delightful setting of the establishment overlooking the bay and island. The staff were very helpful and couldnât do enough for us. Great help selecting a delightful wine to accompany our superb meal. Wish we could have eaten here more but unfortunately picked it on our last night. Courteous drive ferrried back to the hotel after the meal. Wonderful. And thank you to the staff

If you are lucky enough to be on Porto Santo and enjoy some time in this little paradise you should definitely pair your stay with an as well paradisiac dinner at this place. Amazing view over the ocean, very tasteful food, nice atmosphere, that all rounded by very kind staff and a warmhearted owner. Especially praiseworthy was the disponibility of the staff to prepair extremely good vegan meals on request.
