I had read reviews and heard complaints of the long wait for tables and service and it's all true. We sat at a table for 45 minutes then had to leave our table to go remind the hostess that no one had taken our order. We waited a further 15 minutes before being served. People keep coming in all the time, but clearly they do not have a handle on dealing with a constant flow of people

Jo Jo's Jerk pit and more is a local restaurant and bar that has the feel of a local pub. We are the home away from home for locals and visitors alike. We have won many BBQ Competitions adding accreditation to our name. We are well known for our Jerk, Sou
Our hotel recommended this place to us so we took the hotel cab and went for dinner on our first night in Kingston. It happened to be Valentine's Day so although it was meant to be (we understand) reggae karaoke; we had a good half an hour of 80's love songs which was funny. I had lamb and my husband had pork both of which were good. Service was fine and our waitress friendly. It poured down but this didn't have an effect of our evening, we were dry and had a fun evening. Big menu with local and international dishes.
We are the only seafood, vegetarian and live food restaurant in the sunshine city of Portmore. We are located on the coastline of the city, providing a relaxing ambience, delicious healthy foods and exciting mixed drinks from the bar. Our natural juices a
This outdoor veranda restaurant is fairly new in the Portmore area. It is having some growing pains getting meals out in a timely fashion. We were a party of four and actually waited 1 3/4 hours for lunch. There was no crowd; in fact, there was only one other party of two. That is a new record for us in Jamaica. The fish and the sides were delicious, but the price and the wait took some of the pleasure away. There is a bar onsite that perhaps they hope you will utilize while you wait forever. The site is right on the bay which meant there was a continuous breeze. There is plenty of safe parking.
We had a good selection of seafood (fish soup, lobster, fish shrimp) with side orders at the Hellshire Beach location. Prendy's is a rustic, no frills place serving very tasty Jamaican seafood. Unfortunately, the service was not well timed and only the breadfruit was properly hot when served. Laid-back is OK, but in this case the attitude of the service crew did not impress - however, the manager did her very best.

Went here one evening with a colleague and couldn't have been happier. We both got the fried lobster in curry sauce, split an order of shrimp with garlic, and a side of Festival and Bammy. The bar was well stocked with top shelf liquor and local beers. It was dark at night so we couldn't enjoy the beach but it looked good and seems like the place would be a great party scene too. Definitely worth a visit. Just keep in mind this is bar is on the beach so dress accordingly.

I was picking up some visitors at the airport and called ahead to reserve a table for 3 on a Friday night at 8.30, and to make sure there was lobster. The attention was good, there were a lot of tables occupied with two still free, one for us, upstairs as requested. After a nice cold beer, we were served in about half an hour with three large grilled lobsters with garlic butter on the side along with lots of bammy and festival. Could not have been better, great food and good value.
Awesome place the food is excellent service is great the view is breathtaking walk on the beach while you wait for your meal freshly prepared

Things to do before going to Gloriaâs:- Reconsider- Spend some more time reconsidering. Read reviews, seek advice from locals, pray.- If you still must go through this hell then proceed as follows:- - Eat before you go, ideally something that will give you lots of energy. You will need this energy either for the long waiting time or for the fight youâre quite likely to get into due to non-existent customer service and nonsensical policies like charging you a service charge for a complete lack of service (true story, I literally did not get my food).- -Pray. Again. This time for patience. This will be tested severely.- Once you have lived through this hell (I told you not to go, but no), do not ever return.

This restaurant is noted for great local food and is reasonable priced. We had the: Pirate Catch(fried fish, grilled lobster and spicy shrimp), Whole grilled lobster, fish soup, coconut water and it cost less than $40US. The lobster and fish were fresh from the sea. This was the best local meal I had while visiting Kingston.
