Fresh oysters or other shellfish from their own production. Various sizes of oysters are available. All served with some slices of bread and butter. No salads, no fries, no desserts available. Wine or soft drinks, yes, after all we are in France. There are tables available on the street or canal sides.

Very sunny day out in Port Leucate, so decided to get some lunch. Places we have eaten in before were full, or too busy to sit with our large dog. (Used to have a apt here for 10years). Walked along the Quay, and came to La Bodega. Was busy but we could get a table which was suitable for the dog. Friendly owner welcomed us and showed us menu. My friend and I had a great mojito, husband on sprite as he agreed to drive home, which made the guy laugh. All food was freshly cooked and served timely but never rushed. We had a combination of pork, fish and mussels all of which were very delicious. Sat there that long got a great suntan

Once you arrive here you just have to choose among dozens of little restaurants that will offer you mainly one thing: oysters! So why here and not anywhere else? Difficult answer as they all have really good molluscs, so we chose this one because it has a nice terrace facing the channel and not the road. We ate raw shrimps and oysters together with wine and buttered bread in a really nice atmosphere. Prices are absolutely convenient and nothing you could find in any city (where they could give you just dead oysters)

A chance to be right in the middle of oyster-lovers' heaven. Anyone who appreciates fresh, small/medium/large oysters, with a wonderful fragrance and slightly salty taste, will not want to miss this relatively small restaurant with a great little terrace behind, facing the water, the watermen and their boats. Hard to put down the oysters to take photos, but sometimes the activity and atmosphere is just too photogenic to pass up. Nothing fancy here, but that is its charm - it is real. Have eaten here several times before this review and will continue to do so whenever within 60 km of the area. Thank you very much, your advice has really touched us !

Wonderfull place on border of the beach with sunbed and palm trees Meal prepared only with fresh and local food for lunch or dinner Quiet place with perfect view on the see perfect for families or friends good times Near the famous boat the Lydia Proximit
This place is kept a secret by its fans! It's a luxury beach base with great sun beds, a fantastic restaurant, clean loos, shade, a bar and the rest. What's more there's a huge car park out the back, a beached ocean liner, The Lydia, to impress the kids and a sandy beach that goes way out. It's really all you need once you've had enough of the crowds at Canet Plage. It looks like any other beach bar but DTC Beach is something else. Give it a whirl! Thanks for this fabulous comment jim hope To see you again

This is an upmarket beach bar serving high quality fish and other food. Unfortunately it is situated within an area of depressing concrete high rises overlooking miles of beach. You cannot drive past but there is plenty of parking behind the high rises and then you will have to find your way to the beach promenade. The landmark to look for is a large ship set into the promenade itself - bizarre! There are tables on an upper floor overlooking the sea and downstairs. I got the impression that all the upper tables had been booked by local residents so remember this if you telephone to reserve a table. The cooking is simple French at its best and in particular the Calamars Plancha are fantastic and some of the best I had tried. Meli Melo (platter of oysters and prawns served on ice) was also most impressive. Staff are friendly and helpful with the bill for lunch, including wine and coffee, coming to â¬47. Worth a detour to eat and of course you can also spend your day on the beach.

We were on a birdwatching trip but the birds were a bit slow - so the four of us stopped for a break of half a dozen oysters each. Delicious.Really, really, friendly staff. Nice shade in the middle of the day (and shelter from the wind) - and the oysters were superb and very reasonably priced.Memorable.

Looks like a beach bar, just shows how deceptive appearances can be. Welcoming staff and friendly service. A gem on the beach, literally. Good varied menu with the emphasis on seafood, naturally. However i sampled probably the biggest entrecote steak I've ever seen, barely fitting onto the plate. Superbly cooked. Food reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

Tasting of oysters, mussels, clams, sea urchins. Sale of fish from morning fishing (according to arrival)
We had been told about this place but words cannot describe it sufficiently. There are at least 20 restaurants all selling Seafood with Oysters and Muscles their specialty. We chose Le Mas Bleu and was not disappointed. We had a huge serving of large oysters and muscles. We were surprised that the muscles were served raw, but it being a first we tried them and my wife even said she enjoyed them more than the oysters. The raw nature of this place is amazing, little restaurants out front of the Oyster Farmers sheds. You can eat there or buy all you want to take home. Cheap is the word especially to take away. We paid 2 Euro for a kilos of muscles. If you love seafood and especially if you love OYSTERS don't miss this sensational place.

The whole oyster farm zone is a bit unusual for this upmarket product. In this very democratic cluster of ultimately simple oyster bars Chez Cul d' Oursin seems to be very popular and busy. The degustation menus are available in different languages, the staff try to understand everyone. It is quick , tasty, unsophisticated and very inexpensive.
