Aluco's contemporary poolside dining restaurant. A celebration of the tropics, its produce, culture and cuisine. The perfect location for lunchtime dining with your choice of poolside views or our air conditioned restaurant. Finish your afternoon with a c
When you walk into this resort you are blown away by how stunning it is. Very grand. But the restaurant is another story. Oysters served warm on rocks not ice should have warned us. They were so off that the smell was nauseating. And the âfish of the dayâ was so old we thought it was chicken. Would never eat there again.Hi ChrishightExtremely disappointing to read we let you down... We take this feedback very seriously and our executive chef is investigating to see where we fell short. We strive to provide a high end product and would love to discuss your experience further if you would be so kind to contact me? Hope to hear from you soon.Justin Ramsden07 4084 [email protected]

A local favourite, "The Shack" introduces you to a truly tropical Port Douglas dining experience with a wonderful mix of funky ambiance and laid back Queensland style. An eclectic mix of sandy floor, colourful lanterns, and a chill out bar with comfy couc
The Beach Shack is not near the Main Street so would suit visitors staying/living closer to 4 mile beach. Great vibe with great playlist of music and tables undercover with sand on the ground. Attentive and friendly waitstaff. Food a bit pricey but well worth it. Great fish, gnocchi dishes and a good variety of drinks. Highly recommend.

Being a local Community Sports Club you do have to sign, but anyone can do it. This place is mentioned in lots of reviews and is a gem
Have been coming up to the Port for over 20 years, and this trip for a couple of weeks. Food and service vary, but generally is good to very good, with some standouts. This place is not one of them. Donât expect service of any kind because it doesnât exist. Once you walk through the door, you are on your own. Nothing and nobody to let you know the protocols for ordering drinks and food. Just a vacuum filled by wait staff rushing around avoiding eye contact, waiting only for an opportunity to clear your table for the next sucker. They do at least deliver the food from the kitchen pass to the table, throw it on your table as they race past and avoid any contact or questions whatsoever. So the food. Two of us had the Spanish mackerel, and one had the fishermanâs basket. Our mackerel died in vain. It was horrible. Simply awful. The chef, if that is the correct designation, should be ashamed. It was the texture of old cardboard, difficult to cut and almost impossible to chew. Whatever was in the fishermanâs basket was no better. Just a waste of food and our time trying to eat it. The linguine was a huge dish of tasteless drudge, which was almost entirely left on the plate. And did any staff member stop by to ask how the meals were? Nowhere to be seen. This place is a tragedy. Itâs the best site in Port, and that must be what draws the patrons. Because itâs not the service or the food, based on our experience. Get your act together. Stop thinking like an old time club with a great site, where you can get away with anything because of the price, and start thinking about being a restaurant that had to compete. Impossible to recommend, except to stay away.I am sorry for your experience as this is the first time I have heard about it. I do not understand why this was not brought to the attention of the Duty Manager who would have been more than happy to rectify any problems that arose on the night. The other matter I have a concern with is the comment regarding being left on your own. If having visited this place on other trips I can't understand why you were not aware we are a Club and that you go to either the Bar or Kitchen POS to order your food and drinks.Once again I am sorry.Regards,Kym RowleyGeneral Manager

My wife and I arrived in Port Douglas yesterday from Melbourne. We made a booking online nearly one month ago for a dinner reservation at 7.30pm last night at 2 Fish.We even received an email from them yesterday morning (just before boarding our flight) asking me to confirm my reservation. Which I did.Upon arriving at the restaurant last night at 7.30pm, we see that there is a note on the door advings that the restaurant is closed until further notice. I find ut amazing that I can receive several emails from them since I had booked, but could not even have the courtesy of an email advising they will be closing.Unfortunately, being Saturday night, most places we when to after this issue where boojed out. We did finally manage to find a nice Thai restaurant which was delicious. I will write a review shortly on that one.

On The Inlet Restaurant is a multi award winning seafood restaurant in the village of Port Douglas (one hour drive north of Cairns). It's established reputation for fine fresh seafood, delicious cocktail list, friendly staff , and location make it popular
Food was lovely as usual and we will always eat at On the Inlet simply for that reason. However, since moving from âthe inletâ the feel isnât quite the same. Really missed sitting watching the boats come in and the sun going down while enjoying a bucket of prawns and a glass of bubbles. But again the food is excellent.

Zinc opened in 2004 and has become one of Port Douglas's most iconic venues. Under new management since March 2018 Zinc is a must do while in Port Douglas. Whether on vacation, celebrating that special occasion, or a casual catch up with family or friends
A year after last eating here we enjoyed yet another delicious meal and good service. Scallops, salmon, Barra and beef bourginon left us very satisfied. The service was efficient yet not intrusive and we were never rushed. Hope to have another meal here before we head back to NZ, as plenty on the menu we would like to try.

Lunch on a Saturday at Salsa Bar & Grill. Quintessential Queensland Experience...hot day, cold beer, perfectly cooked Barramundi. Better for couples and parties than families. Bright and welcoming atmosphere, great service, although took a little while for meals to come out.
