This was by far the best meal we had in Milan. The quietness of the neighbourhood near Navigli was soon shattered when we entered the restaurant. Here all was hustle and bustle: a real bistro atmosphere with constant music and a high (though acceptable) level of conversation buzz. We had the seafood platter which my wife declared was the best she has ever eaten. I took the clams on a bed of lentils and spicy (very!) greens. Main courses were lobster pasta and red snapper on a bed of spicy (again!) pak choi. Both were superb. All washed down with a wonderful Arneis. The service was young and attentive. The décor is modern and designer and overall the restaurant is possibly a little cramped - a good way to get to know your neighbours. Altogether, a great atmosphere. We didn't take dessert and the bill was already quite $$$$. But for a big informal occasion, restaurants don't come much better than this.

The restaurant Vento di Sardegna in Milan is renowned for its delicious seafood and raw fish.
Our impression after we eat here was that they treat tourists totally different from locals and of course not in the good way. The food was good, but the server was not friendly at all, didnât give us any information and spent most of the time at other tables with locals. In the end on the bill he added 4 other items (other than the service that is everywhere added) that we didnât order just to round the bill. We didnât protest and paid but itâs the only restaurant where we had this surprise. We didnât go back there are a lot of other restaurants around where the food and service is excellent.Dear mont2009,we are very sorry that the service at our restaurant has not satisfied you. We invite you to return to the restaurant to check your bill again and remedy any errors.Thank you,Vento di Sardegna

If you are tired of the glamorous chefs and you like fish this is the place to be.A family runned restaurant on the scene since many years, it's specialized in fish. Raw, cooked, with pasta however you want it you cannot go wrong. The owners are choosing everyday the fishes that are going to be sold. Don't forget to ask for the specials of the day.All the waiters are very nice and the atmosphere even if the tables are a bit to close is friendly yet suitable also for a romantic "tete a tete".There is also an area more like a sushi bar

In this silly world of faked Japanese restaurants, of dangerous 10 euros "all you can eat" shameless so called "restaurants"..., a real Japanese, owned and managed by a Japanese couple, husband and wife.Behind the counter they prepare delicious original Japanese plates, not only sushi (excellent by the way) but amazing Unagi Chirashi, or Soba salad, Grilled Salmon cheek...I studied and lived in Japan, and believe me, this is the nearest thing to a local tokyo, extremely good "trattoria" you can find in Milan.

We passed this bistro a couple of times while walking in between our hotel and the metro. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality of the food and service. On first appearances we thought it was a seafood place but in fact there were plenty of options for meat and vegetarian dishes. The wine list is very good and the âby the glassâ option very apt after a few aperitivos... The desserts were excellent too. Very friendly and attentive staff - and reasonable prices.

My wife and I were visiting Milan for a weekend city break. We came across this restaurant on trip advisor and booked online. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel really welcome by the excellent host. Friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, great English which obviously helped us!We ordered a selection of cured meats to share as a starter which came with parmesan and vegetables. Then my wife had fillet beef and I had home cooked pasta with spicy sausage and ricotta. Both were amazing, the beef literally melted in your mouth and the pasta was superb.Desserts were equally good, cheesecake and a chocolate sphere...We finished with a sicilian after dinner liqueur that tasted as good as it smelt! The kitchen is open plan and was sparkling clean, and given they were constantly cleaning as they went that is no surprise. The restaurant has a really pleasant feel to it, set in a conservatory style room with really interesting decor it really was a great dining experience.Highly recommended and if we are ever back in Milan we will definitely return.Thank you for a lovely eveningHi Andy, many thanks very appreciated. It was a pleasure to have your wife and you at the restaurant. Best regards
