Other than fresh food, service and attitude are important factors to us too. We ordered spider crabs, goose barnacles, octopus and seafood rice. Very attentive staff and lady boss, Rosa. seafood is very fresh, price is acceptable (not the tourist trap price). What we like most, before preparing the seafood, they showed us the crabs and tell us the weight and price. One can tell they are honest people. They did not hard-sale their seafood. If you like seafood, come here. It is not a tourist trap.

Young lad serving was superb. Friendly, helpful not overly attentive but great when you needed and recommendations were helpful. And he was happy to listen to my rubbish Castilian Spanish! Hooray! We like seafood a lot, though the kids aren't as adventurous yet as we ar. We had pulpo, hake, cockles, mussels. It was all wonderful and very reasonably priced. Raciones is what they call it. A continuous supply of wonderful plates to share. Bigger than tapas. Fantastic. We turned up early and got a table. They opened eight thirty. After ten and you'd have struggled and this was a weekday. The main man has got it sussed. Simple food with very good ingredients. Nothing pretentious, nothing silly. Brilliant. I wish we could do this back home without the fakery!

The food here is great. I had the fish parillada and it was delicious. Good wine, great food and reasonably priced. It is mid November and the restaurant is empty. Such a shame as it has to best in Laxe.

We had the opportunity to eat in this outstanding restaurant on May 2013. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the bay and beach. Food was excellent, particularly the "menu de degustacion" served with a variety of seafood, fishes and dessert. All very fresh and probably caught the same day. Our Brazilian waitress was particularly nice and efficient. The place is not cheap but the quality of the food worth the price. We highly recommend this restaurant in Costa da Morte.Drjaba, Turnersville, NJ-USA

We stayed in the hotel which was lovely. Rooms spotless and the free mini bar and toiletries were a most appreciated touch. So far so good. Now comes the kicker â¬68 for a tasting menu the likes of which we have rarely encountered in our many years of Michelin star dining. And a special mention to the eel dish. Simply the finest thing I have ever eaten. We then booked ourselves in for dinner simply to eat the lobster paella. Sheer greed and once again sublime. Congratulations As Garzas you were perfection from your Reidel wine glass selection to your inventive dining. Miss this at your peril diners.

This is one of the best restaurant in Laxe. They offer you a complete menu of fish, see food and meat. Donât miss the octopus a feira (boiled as Galician style with olive oil and papikra) which is served full piece. Also there is a great dish of Zamburiñas and Navajas (seafood) very fresh. For two, this will be enough. Nice staff but not sure if they are English speakers.

I visited with my parents in July. For Americans (especially older ones) it's tough to wait until they open for dinner (I think it was 8 or 9) but when we did it was worth it. The server spoke some English, and helped us with the menu by bringing out a book with pictures of fish in it to show us which ones were which on the menu. The view is nice and the prices are good.

We were staying in a villa just up the road from here, and were very glad to have such a good restaurant in walking distance! We came twice and enjoyed all of the different raciones that we tried: very well-cooked and good value Galician food. Special mention for the chuletón steak- it was massive for the price (â¬17) and absolutely delicious!
