We had been camping over at Killbear and decided to check out Gilly's because it was very close. We are very glad we did. The pickerel that was pan fried was absolutely mouth watering. My husband had the breaded white fish and it was delicious as well. The tartar sauce is the best we've had and tasty fries. The lunch menu was very large and filling for our dinner. Super friendly waitress as well.

Stopped here twice while boaitng in ealry Aug 2017 for supplies and dinner. The first time there were 6 of us, the second 10.The food was excellent, the service was fun with one of our group being accussed of being high maintennace by the owner who was also also our waitress. It was meant and taken in a good humoured way and to be honest, he probably desireved it.Being further down Bying Inlet, St. Amant's is a bit out of the way when you are travelling by boat but it is worth the trip.

We have been camping at Killbear Park for many years and Perks is our routine stop. Don't expect a cheap price but expect a GREAT meal. Bryan, the owner, is quite a character. His family has been in the are since 1842 and he knows what he is talking about. He gave us some good tips for fishing lakers in the local waters which I hope to try out in the next few weeks. Bryan also has on site parking for trailers at a reasonable price and we decided, due to Perks being only a couple of kilometres for park entrance, it would be a great place to leave our pop-up. Bryan lives on location and has cameras installed so we feel good about leaving it there. Bryan's restaurant facility is clean and well taken care of....not a low class fish n' chips place. The Fishwhich is a good deal but the "Fish n' Chips" can't be beat....your choice of fish and the chips are very good. Did I mention he is just a great, energetic guy? I can just hope I have his energy at 70 years old. In July and August expect to be in a lineup to get your food.

When we got inside, was having second thoughts as it is a little dumpy/divey. Still clean. There were some loyal diners inside enjoying what looked like good fish. Also some outside in chairs enjoying take out.My family insisted. They wanted F & C.Ordered Halibut F & C and onion rings and gravy. One guy running the kitchen, the cash and serving food to tables. Our fish arrived. WONDERFUL!Not fishy, tasty, not oily, flaky, really good. Good portions, nice fries, home made gravy.Tartar sauce was ready in take out containers by a company I have never heard of. Suggestion, change suppliers, go for Heinz.Really enjoyed our meal. Will go back.
