So Iâve heard great things about Bishops for years but ventured into there for the first time tonight. In one word âwow!â I had the 16 ounce ribeye - it was amazing. Quality meat, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife had the brisket stuffed baked potato - also awesome.Ambiance is a quaint small town cafe venue (kinda weird - in a mall but donât let that scare you away). The service was incredible - genuinely kind and helpful staff.I waited way too long to try this place - donât make the same mistake!
What an awesome place..!! Food was great, beautiful rustic setting..you definitely want to try this place...wait staff could have been a little friendlier and smiled, but like I said, the food was great..!!

I have been to most of the restaurants in town of Palestine, and this place is just plain terrible. The inside is horrific and setup very odd. It is ugly too.The service is very slow and inattentive. The place looks like it is not up to standards and probably barely passes health codes. Although, that is purely speculation on my part, but it looks it.The salads are prepared beforehand, with iceberg lettuce, usually the white parts and like one tomato and onion. The dressing comes from a huge paint bucket (or something similar looking) in the refrigerator. The catfish does not taste fresh at all and is actually bland. The frog legs are not good either. It's like they just cut the leg off and battered it with no seasoning and dropped it in the fryer. the french fries were the typical frozen variety that you can get at your local grocery store. In the end, I had better catfish at the popular steak house in town.Overall, I would not recommend this place. Avoid at all costs! Save your money.
