Things to do in Pacifica
We had several kinds of sushi, beer, sake. All were well prepared and tasted great.Prices were good. Ambiance a little lacking. I think it was because of the odd bright lighting.

Grand Palace is a dim sum and seafood restaurant located in the heart of downtown South San Francisco. We are conveniently located in proximity to SFO, and Caltrain stations.
My friend and I stopped in for a Dim Sum lunch. Restaurant was not crowed when we arrived and we were seated quickly. Largest dim sum selection I have every seen. No steam cart - one just orders off a menu. One peeve.... as the only non-Asian guests in the restaurant, service was not outstanding. Other Asian guests arriving much later than us were served more quickly and with a smile. Food was quite good - and we ordered 8 different small plates. Price was $44 w/o tip.

I basically come here every time I am in town from Dallas for breakfast and felt since I have enjoyed this place for over 40 years it was about time I told everyone how much I love eating here. My favorite is corned beef hash, cottage fries, poached eggs and sour dough toast. The meal is huge and the amazing thing is the excellence and the incredibly inexpensive cost of the meal. It was the meeting place for 3 of us every Sunday the 49ers played at Candlestick. We would have a great breakfast and then on to the game. It is situated right next to the golf course and it is always fun watching the golfers tee up.

As always the place is like a zoo. As soon as it opens, a lot of people are already waiting. Unless you know someone inside which a lot of patrons do, they get special treatments and bypass the long line which makes waiting even longer and UNFAIR. I donât like coming because of that. Luckily we have a friend that knows someone inside. Food is still good. Worth coming (if youâre patient!), but waiting for 2 hours, youâd be the judge and find out. Service is HORRIBLE! Getting someoneâs attention is another big problem. Getting your request fulfilled is another matter that the management needs to improve upon. Donât hold your breath, it wonât improve. When requesting a glass of water plus other things, a lot of times the waiters walk away without listening to your entire sentences, thus, you end up requesting multiple times. Donât come here if youâre not patient.

We stop at Vallemar Station every time we visit our hometown of Pacifica. I always get the Basa fish with macadamia nuts, delicious! My husband always tries something different, yummy meatloaf this trip. If we still lived in the Bay Area we'd make weekly trips for dinner, but have to settle for yearly visits. It's comforting to know the food will always be great. And server Michelle always remembers us and provides excellent service.I suggest anyone who travels on hwy 1 thru Pacifica stop for a meal at this local gem.

Great little place serving excellent fish and chips... Lots of fish, not just a bunch of batter.. Definitely worth the stop if looking for a great meal..

Had a lovely lunch at Puerto 27 over Labor Day, with some friends and of course, Pisco Sours. Everyone really enjoyed the entrees and the service was friendly. The kitchen and bar were a little slow, but since we were not in a rush, and the view was so gorgeous, we didn't mind. Definitely a good spot to try with good eats to enjoy.

I know the rule is that restaurants with great views usually have at best mediocre food. This was no exception. Crab cakes were tiny and had too much crust, pappardelle with Boar ragu was good, rolls were hot but tasteless, but bread pudding dessert was exceptional. Service was excellent.

Our large party turned up without a reservation and we were soon seated.Service was prompt and friendly. The consensus was that the fish tacos and the kids grilled cheese were both excellent.Fish and chips were ok.The biggest criticism was that everybody felt that the fries were poor and limp. This is easy to resolve, just make more effort to keep them crispy !Casual kinda place and worth a visit
