We had fried fish, brochette and grilled fillet. Simple food but cooked well, especially the fish brochette which been deliciously marinaded. Sadly theyâd run out of crime caramel - maybe next time. This is a place for the locals. Overlooks the sea but thereâs a road between. No alcohol.
We had another good meal here last night. But be sure to question the menu. My friend chose a bouquet de crevettes which turned out to be prawn cocktail; I chose fillet steak (a silly choice by the sea) and it was sirloin or rump: and almost too tough to cut let alone chew!!! The langouste was very good and my fried calamari delicious. Creme caramel was fine. The most annoying part was when we tried to pay with a card and the waiter said their connection was too poor! Beware this tactic. It can leave you washing up!

This is a delightful small private hotel. Lovely terraces overlooking the beach / lagoon. Flamingos in winter. Great weather and a superb location. Food is delicious. Restaurant is homely and warm in winter. In summer most eat on the terrace. Staff are friendly locals. This is coolly upmarket rather than ostentatious. Rooms are not exactly luxurious but are perfectly adequate and good compared to other local places (except the prohibitively expensive Las Sultana further out of town). Prices are reasonable.

Being Southeast Asian and a seafood addict, I can say that the preparation for the very fresh seafood here was excellent. The oysters are very fresh - you can choose the size on a bed of ice with accompanying seaweed. And we had a plate of assorted seafood that includes spider crab. I do not like overpowering sauces that hide the taste of the real seafood, and for this, this restaurant excel - there is a sugestion of a sauce in the grilling ofthe seafood - perhaps some white wine, that makes you like licking the shell, but leaves the juicy taste of the meat alone. Very nice. Also good quiet setting by the river. I wanted to go back the next and spend extra 100 kms on our road trip just for this restaurant, but my boyfriend's logic prevailed. Highly recommended!
