On the shore of the lake this is a cozy little local style restaurant. We visited in winter so we were only joined by a couple of tables of locals drinking Sochu and chatting.We ate there a couple of times including by birthday dinner and were totally impressed by the freshness of their Sashimi the friendliness of the owner and the quaint atmosphere. We also had the freshest oysters I have ever had the pleasure of eating.The place is very unassuming, it has a simple hand written menu but is a comforting place to spend an evening. The prices are very reasonable and everything we had was delicious with generous portions, with some sake and full tummies you will spend no more that 6000 yen per couple.

In the pretty town of Kawaguchiko under Mt Fuji, this izakaya is special little place with friendly staff, great food and drinks list. Ryan our server, who has escaped from California, was friendly and helpful. The Japanese owner was a sashimi wizard and the other dishes were really good too. Sadly it was closed last night, Monday, so we could only go there for one evening meal. I wish we had a place like this in Australia!

This is a small restaurant with a wonderful family at atmosphere. No menu - just look in the case and choose from the daily selection. The owners are extremely friendly and will make what you like and also suggest some things. Both the fish and the preparation was high quality and delicious. The local sake from Fuji was also good. I would recommend this restaurant and would go back again!
