My boys wanted me to decide on a restaurant for my birthday dinner, and I decided we should try something different. I'd heard good things about Uncle Larry's, and they were all true! It was reasonably priced, the food was delicious, and the service was even better! I'm not waiting for my next birthday to return! I'm thinking this weekend will be a perfect time to eat there again!

I met an old friend here for dinner and we were treated SO kindly with no pressure to leave quickly and attentive service when needed. The caesar salad was fresh and just the hearts and the pumpkin ravoli and green beans rounded out a nice meal. My friend enjoyed the fish tacos. Kelly was excellent and worth asking for!

Pier 88 was recommended by our hotel staff. We arrived on a Sunday evening at about 6:30pm. We did not get seated until about 7:30pm. We quickly ordered, but the food did not appear until about 8:15pm, and only after I asked the manager why it was taking so long. The server was a non entity, He never gave any indication of the wait time, nor came to the table once the manager delivered our meal. The hostess was cordial and tried to be understanding. The meal itself was very well done. The amount served was ridiculous, I could not understand how one person could eat such an enormous meal. We shared one dish and still could not finish their Low Boil. It was ordered mild, but as I type this my lips still burn. it is a good burn. I wish they could figure out a way to get people in faster, and then serve the food in a timely manner.

We wanted to get a steak for supper before heading out of town. The food was great. I had a ribeye and my wife had the prime rib.
