It is located primarily in Ector County, although a small portion of the city extends into Midland County. Odessa's population was 118,918 at the 2010 census making it the 29th-most populous city in Texas; estimates as of July 2015 indicate a population of 159,436 in the city. It is the principal city of the Odessa Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Ector County. Staff brought a sample of several items to try. The seafood gumbo is excellent. The alligator bites were too expensive for the small amount served for an appetizer. The crawfish etouffee was very good.

I am in the area temporarily and called several places to ask about their catfish. Most places have battered fish, which leads to too much grease and dough. The gal I talked to at Big Daddy's didn't understand the difference between battered and breaded, but I gave it a try anyhow. The fish was lightly breaded and not at all greasy. I ordered the senior plate, which was 3 pieces of fish and 2 veggies for $8. The fish was enough for me, so I ended up taking the sides and half of the excellent hush puppies to go. Service was also excellent.

Open 24 hrs when I visited check website for any time changes. I had a grill cheese and delicious chicken enchilada soup. Prices are reasonable for dinner 4.99 and up great lunch specials fries are included with most sandwiches. No turkey options for breakfast if you do not eat pork.

Normally, I like Red Lobster restaurants. Unfortunately, this property in Odessa is a disgrace to the franchise. I knew we were in trouble as soon as we walked through the front door. The entire entry way was filthy and greasy....especially the floor inside the doorway and outside. The air quality inside this place had a nasty odor of grease and spoiled food. The bathrooms are filthy as well. It was so utterly unappealing we got up and walked out. If the management of this restaurant cannot keep the bathrooms clean, can you imagine what the overall food sanitation is like....employees likely use equally filthy bathrooms. Avoid this Red Lobster until the change management and get this place back up to franchise standards.
