Formerly Jumping Jacks.
My wife and I had an incredible meal at this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. The lobster roll and fries reminded me of being in Maine. The halibut was cooked perfectly-something that doesn't happen that often. We also shared a burratta and watermelon salad that was off the chain. The wedge salad was also very good. My waiter was friendly and busy...I wouldn't take it personally if they don't fawn all over you (they are working, after all). The view of the ocean alone is worth any impact of the pricing.

I went here with family while staying in Ocean Beach and I will not be going back. We were able to walk in without a reservation which was nice for the 5 of us. The waitress was awful. It took forever to get water and it wasnât until other customers that came in after us got bread, did we realize we were entitled to bread as well! When we asked her about it she said âoh.. you wanted bread?â She got our order wrong and we were hungry so we werenât going to send it back. For the ones in my group that had the right order.. they didnât have any complaints about the food. When the food was being served, it was by one gentleman whom we asked for mayo. The waitress came by and he told her what we said. 15 min later we still didnât receive it and when we saw that gentleman again he thought our waitress took care of us. By the time she finally brought it out, the food was almost done. All she said was âsorry for the wait.â It was the same waiting game and apology with getting the check and paying. Very frustrating.
We have been sourcing and preparing only the freshest seafood for our guests for 45 years. Our menus reflect the freshest seafood available to us each day. We have a gourmet market, marina, bar & restaurant, off and on premise catering, spectacular sunsets
My wife and I stopped for lunch here when we came to Fire Island for the day. We started off with margaritas that were very well made and strong, I was able to have a second drink, my wife opted out! I had the seafood combo and my wife had a fresh wrap. The service was excellent as was the food. Located a short walk from the ferry, make Matthew's your first stop for a meal.

Went here with my family (we were 6 people) and what a pleasurable experience. The atmosphere of this restaurant is exactly what you would want in an outdoor restaurant by the beach on the water. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. We absolutely loved it and had an amazing evening. Reservations accepted and I would highly recommend planning ahead to get a reservation to eat outside on the deck.

Great hometown bar and restaurant. Serving consistently delicious food & drinks for 40 years! You know itâs gonna be good at The Albatross! And remember Donât Swing the Lights!
Our 2nd time Here, my First review. Came here with all my Kids and Granddaughter on Fathers Day, Food was ok but service was slow, I know it was Fathers Day but it was longer than Normal. We went Saturday night 9/9/17 party of 6, we sat down at 630, it was starting to get busy. We sat down and we were greeted promptly by our server, it went down hill from there! Our server was not at all friendly and seemed distracted! Everyone has a bad day, I get it, however, our main courses came out at different times and there was No apology from anyone, no attention to customer service, never asked us for refills on our drinks and just felt like we didn't get the service we expected. The Food was Ok, I had the Shrimp Bisque that was pretty good and went with the shrimp and Garlic dish Over linguine, the pasta was over cooked. My wife had the burrito and it was not that good. One other couple had the ribs and it was covered with fried onions which is not mentioned on the menu, he hates onions, ribs were pretty good. Didn't stay for dessert, Very loud inside, there is outside seating with Veiw of Boardwalk, overall we were disappointed and probably will not return. To many choices at nearby restaurants.

We had the chicken parm and seafood marinara, which were both good. We didnât have the wings, but they smelled so good we wished we had. The service was very polite and pretty good. The place is a pretty typical seaside indoor/outdoor Long Island restaurant. The menu was pretty specific so if you get a chance look at the menu before you go and check out the menu of the Kismet Inn next door to see which is more suitable for you

Bayside dining,, huge portions of fresh seafood and seriously the best baskets of corn bread ever. Nice vibe and great meal.

We stopped in here to have a quick snack. We saw everyone was eating the oysters and the clams so we ordered and they were delicious. You could tell they were fresh because they were nice and salty. The vinegar sauce that came with the oysters was very tasty. We also tried the mahi mahi tacos and it was really good.

The food, view, and eclectic service made this sunset dinner well worth while. The fare is pub/seafood and all of the dishes were prepared well. One of use has some severe dietary restrictions and she was taken care of with little fuss.

We had a late lunch/early dinner here recently. It was relatively packed and the view was beautiful. Unfortunately, my food was less than ordinary. I ordered a vegetarian portobello panini. I asked our server what was in the panini. She listed a litany of vegetables. First of all, most paniniâs are grilled or toasted. This wasnât. There wasnât a portobello mushroom in the Portobello panini (there were small mushrooms). There was no flavoring on the bread. The panini consisted of raw zucchini, small mushrooms, and some raw spinach (possibly arugula mixed in). When I brought it to the attention of our server, to her credit, the manager came over. What she told me was that the list of vegetables was a suggestion, but itâs up to the chef!!! (If the name of the dish had portobello in it, I would at least expect portobello!!). One of the servers added water and spilled it all over. Lastly, the sink was broken in the womenâs room when we visited, making me question how the employees washed their hands that day. Also, instead of changing prices, they add 3% to your bill to cover the increase in minimum wage (to be fair, we found this to be the case in other restaurants as well).
