We were greeted promptly when we arrived. There was another couple in line and giving their orders. Stephanie stepped to an additional register and asked to take our order. We received our drink cups and filled them at the drink station. Selected a booth and by that time Stephanie brought our meals to our table. The booths, drink station, floors and restrooms were all visibly clean and orderly. Stephanie came and picked up our plates after we finished and disposed of our trash for us.We arrived around noon on a Wednesday and never had any issues with the service or food.

Went by Wednesday to pickup to pickup 2 $7 Bang bang shrimp.. A little disappointing, found out later you do not get bread anymore unless you ask and the shrimp unfortunately just slumped altogether probably from sitting already made for Wednesday nights. Most of the time it is good though. You kinda get forgot in the pickup zone because of their wait list..

We visited the French Market Grille on June 18, 2019 for lunch. We all had the lunch specials, Jambalaya, Fried Shrimp, Rice and Beans. All entrees came with fresh salad, delicious rolls, and unlimited sweet tea.Our waitress was Nadine, attentive, professional and great personality. She actually looked us in the eyes and waited until we replied to our requests! We have visited some establishments where they rush away without listening to our orders and requests!Oh, I had the she crab soup; absolutely divine taste. This restaurant could shame some Charleston resturants. The decor and ambience was very pleasant.Next time we are in Augusta, we will definitely dine there.

This new restuarant does wood grilled items as well as more regular dishes. The pork meatballs were very tasty and my wife really enjoyed the iceberg salad which they wrer able to supply without onions. We were heading to have different entrees until the waitress mentioned that the Prime Angus Sirloin was actually Filet Mignion. It was a lovely dish, but why, oh why, had they not corrected the menu?

Great service ALWAYS is a PLUS when dining; that's exactly what we received. The Selections were great; loved the salad bar but especially, those CREAMY-HOT grits along with wonderfully-fried catfish! We'll be returning again and again for the CRAB LEG Fest of ALL you can EAT! 20 October 2018

Abel Brown is a southern kitchen & oyster bar nestled in Surrey Center in Augusta, Ga. The name, much like our menu, is a nod to and celebration of our blended cultural roots. Authentic, yet refined, our ingredient-driven dishes are prepared and served wi
I recently hosted a surprise family birthday dinner for my wife. We were a party of 10 including 3 children. We were given the large table on the back wall and were very comfortable. They permitted a large bouquet of roses from outside and prepared a wonderful chocolate layer birthday cake for us. Also for the children they prepared a small pasta dish for each that was ex-menu. This kept them well-behaved.As usual all the food was well prepared and served hot. I personally enjoyed the yellow beet salad and the grouper special (which also was prepared with yellow beets that the server should have mentioned but didn't). My wife had the filet. The cocktails are small but reasonably priced; but I thought the wines which are well curated were a bit high priced. Considering our crowd, the service was adequate but not great. He could have used some help. But the 20% across-the-board required gratuity rewarded the effort.

Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar Oysters , Shrimp , Grouper , Flounder , Scallops , Catfish , Burgers , Sandwiches , etc... Great for Large Families Full Bar with large selection of Craft Beers Large Patio for Parties
I was traveling with a large group and allowed to make a reservation. We were there for a birthday dinner and it was disappointing. We were hoping to sit inside but space inside is very limited. The patio area is larger than the inside. However, the patio area could use some work. Sitting at sticky plastic 6ft. folding tables that have been turned into doodling stations was not a great setting for our adult birthday dinner. A simple and cheap upgrade; cover the plastic folding tables with Kraft paper or linens or dollar store table covers. The patio was air conditioned but blowing warm air. The food was okay, not greasy. Service was slow. This location is at the river not on the river, so there is not a view of the river. The patio has a view of the parking lot. The parking area was fairly large so we did not have a problem finding a spot.

We are back in Augusta for hurricane evacuation. Last night before we head back down south we went to one of our favorites. Casual atmosphere with amazing fried scallops (no breading) and all-you-can-eat grits and hush puppies. The menu is extensive, but we always go for the scallops. Be sure to take your leftovers with you and feed the goats and peacocks before you leave . Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and no reservations taken. Tip...they give you a small discount if you pay your bill with cash.
