Nested into Nelson Bayâs picturesque Marina, Blueys is the newest dining experience added to dâAlbora Marinas waterfront precinct. Opened seven days for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Settle into one of our comfy garden benches, the perfect location for a rel
To be honest, the food is really just ok, but what we really like about this place is the vibe. It's in the perfect spot to just sit, chill, take in the view of the marina, and do a bit of people watching. The service is pretty much non-existent as you have to order from the counter then take a number. Ok they bring you the food, but pretty much just plonk it on the table for you, nothing more. And as for clearing dirty tables, well they just do that when they remember, as there were a few dirty tables whilst we ate there, and they remained just that........dirty. A couple of them had to be cleared by diners, even going so far as to wipe them down with their own tissues so that they could sit at a clean table. Not good enough really, but pretty typical for this area.

Beautifully appointed restaurant overlooking the sparkling water of Fingal Bay, Port Stephens. We focus on good, nutritious food served in a relaxed environment. Perfect for a drink on the balcony, an intimate dinner for two or a large gathering.
If you're after nice food with a wonderful coastal view, then Saltwater is worth going to. I've been to Saltwater on several occasions for lunch with friends, and I've always enjoyed the meals I've had there. The restaurant is very spacious, not too noisy, it has a smallish menu of mixed dishes ranging from seafood, chicken and steak, and although the restaurant offers table service, you will need to purchase beverages from the bar yourself. If you're in Fingal Bay or close by, its worth a visit.

Stopped for lunch on a gorgeous winterâs day. Decided on the âspecialsâ. It was a quiet day so not busy but happy with everything. Great choice.

Many people on TA have reviewed this place as being the expensive restaurant above, also on the wharf. This listing is a seafood shop selling raw, cooked and frozen seafood. A dozen oysters were $17.90, so pricier than elsewhere nearby, but delicious and large. We had fresh flat head and baby octopus. Unfortunately, the octopus was frozen and not local, but everything else was. Friendly staff, a clean shop and a good selection on offer. Certainly worth a visit.

Newcastle & Port Stephens Game Fish club is the biggest game fish club in Australia, it boasts over 500 fishing members and 1500 social members, the club is open 7 days a week from 11am, the bistro opens for lunch and dinner 7 days a week excluding April
Went there for dinner believing it to be a restaurant... well it's more club than eatery, but sign in we did. With a name like this, I expected the most interesting and exquisite feed of fish in the area. Well, size doesn't necessarily make up for skill. The meals are enormous, and really awful. I didn't know you could turn Jewfish or Mahi Mahi into that, but it wasn't quality fish, and it wasn't cooked with any thought to the finished product. I've never had fish that dry. Locals might love it, but there's a definite need for refinement to the establishment. Won't be back.

Located on the ground floor at D'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay.
A spare of the moment decision took us to Nelsons Bay. We visited Mavericks on the bay, we were lucky enough to get a table by the window edge (the bar/restraunt) area is open to the elements so you can sit an wile away the day sipping on a cocktail day dreaming about living life on a luxury yatch whilst the sun kisses your skin. The restraunt is family friendly they have a small kids menu. The adult menu has a good variety of meals. The prices are reasonable and the meals are a good size without being oversized.

We were just looking for a light lunch with a view and found the wharf restaurant, a little unassuming from the outside but decided to walk up the stairs to check it out.So glad we did, friendly owner greeted us and made us feel instantly welcomed. We were shown to a lovely window seat taking in an amazing view.We ordered seafood and it was so fresh and cooked beautifully, it was really enjoyable and all local.Paired with a chilled bottle of hunter semillon !!It was a perfect way to spend lunch with friends and to top it off the prices are very reasonable!Highly recommend, do yourself a favor.

We have been there before a few years ago and enjoyed the food. This time we opted for a hot seafood platter and were not disappointed - the platter came with two large grilled fish (jew fish and another) plus calamari, prawns scallops and fresh fruit - delicious!Thankyou for your lovely review it is greatly appreciated.

Open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30pm
I always have difficulty choosing from the menu but usually something will jump out and grab me but not at Sandpipers. The menu was so varied and everything sounded so delicious I just could not decide. We ended up sharing a couple of entrees that were stunning. The crab arancini was delicate and deliciously yummy and the Aloo Chop was sensational. It tasted just like a samosa but without the heavy pastry just breadcrumbs. Total opposites of each other. My partner had tagliatelle with lobster in a tomato sauce with a little chilli on the side. He said it was awesome. I opted for the barramundi and salad which was cooked perfectly. There were so many different things to choose from. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and the bill very reasonable. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back to try some other dishes
