Maria's pizza is family run and always delicious. They have something for everyone on their menu. We usually pick up our order but they have a nice casual dining room to eat there if you like. We have been eating there for five years after trying all the other pizza joints in town.

From 3:00 to 5:00 every day they have early bird specials for $7.95 and $8.95. Comes with hot rolls, soup, 2 sides and dessert (orders must be placed by 5:00). We chose off this menu but the 2 soups offered did not appeal to us so we opted to pay extra for clam chowder. It turned out to be more of a potato chowder. Loads of potatoes and only 2 clams could be found. I then had baked haddock, small portion but what I expected for the price. It was just a tad fishy tasting and just a bit dry on the edges and not very flaky within but was okay. Iâve had baked haddock there before and it was flaky and delicious so my thought is they save the better pieces for the more expensive haddock dinners. My companion had baked stuffed shrimp which he said was very good. We had no choice for dessert and it was lemon pudding which was quite good and tasted like lemon meringue pie filling. Yes, the décor is outdated but I don't have an issue with that as long as a restaurant is clean. The waitress was very attentive and stopped by several times to see how we were doing. Cost of 2 meals with sodas was $25, not bad for todayâs economy.

Returning from a family memorial service in Upstate New York, we stopped for dinner in Palmer. We found CJ's Restaurant by happenstance. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot. We took that to mean that it was a good restaurant. It turned out to be a great find. The banners out front advertised the pulled pork sandwich, cheesesteak grinder, and other fast food. However, once inside, we learned that it was mainly a seafood restaurant. The crab on the sign above the side entrance was a clue. Since we are seafood-lovers, we were delighted. On entering the restaurant, we were greeted and led to a booth in the main dining room in the back. Our waitress came for our beverage orders as soon as we got settled. It was a short wait for them. The menu had a lot of entrées we like. Making a final choice of what to have wasnât easy. We were ordering just before the Early Bird Specials time ended, so we both went with the Baked Stuffed Shrimp at $9.95. It came with two sides and Jell-O for dessert. We both took salad with blue cheese dressing as one side. And, for the other side, my friend took a baked potato, and I had rice pilaf. It was about 5-minute wait for rolls and butter, followed by the salads about two minutes later. Both were good. While waiting for the entrées, I checked out all the nautical décor. Out by the small bar area near one of the entrances, there were to sizable model ships, a lot of smaller ones, and a chalkboard with a very accurate drawing of a lobster. The walls in the dining areas were decorated with plaques, paintings, etc. It was quite a collection. Our entrées arrived about 5 minutes after we finished our salads. The stuffing on the shrimp was browned a little too much for my liking, but the overbrowned parts were easily removed. The stuffing was very tasty without being overly salty. The rice was well-seasoned and savory. The three shrimp were fairly large and well-prepared. Those were cooked just right. We enjoyed our meals. They were very filling. We did not have room for the Jell-O. Service was satisfactory. The place was clean.Outside, I walked around to see the small lighthouse attached to the building on the street side of the building. I noticed a ramp up to the nearby front entrance. It would accommodate a wheelchair. We rate CJ's Restaurant at 4.0 and can recommend eating there to people who like seafood. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

Family breakfast for seven, breakfast was very good, service was a whole different story, seated and ordered and then commenced to wait 40 minutes for our food in a not crowded restaurant, one in our party had to send his pancake back as the server admitted it had been cooked earlier than everyone else's food, our server was average at best and kept apologizing for ineptitude in the kitchen,at one point I saw one young server walking around aimlessly with a tray of food trying to figure out what her purpose was,Wow!!! You don't run a restaurant with inexperienced teenagers!!! Food was good it's a shame, they don't get the service end of the business

George has the freshest fish in the area and cooks it with the cleanest oil and Tastiest seasonings. The quantity to the quality and cost is unbeatable. My favorite is the whole belly fried clams and our 2nd choice is his fried fish and chips. Plan to bring your appetite!. FRESH FISH is available to buy and take home...if you prefer to cook your own! But, why when he cooks it just right!
