We had the most incredible experience here at Hotel GLAVJC! Let's start with our arrival. We took Malpensa Express then the Bus to Como Lago Nord then another to Torno. We unfortunately got off the bus a little too soon and found a local Bar to sit and have coffee while we figured out how to call a taxi. The young woman at the counter told me the taxis were only in Como - we were in the town of Torno so NO taxi service. When she asked where we were staying and I mentioned GLAVJC she immediately picked up the phone and I heard her say Angelo - ok cinque minuti! We were shocked to hear that Angelo from the hotel was coming to get us in his own car! How kind is that???!!!In truth the hotel is very accessible by public transportation with a bus just outside. You can ride into Como for 1 euro! Easy once you know where you are going! Our triple room was VERY comfortable and clean with a huge balcony and the most amazing view! There were 2 parts to the room each with a tv and a refrigerator. The bathroom had a shower and was very clean. The FOOD here is fabulous! I have posted photos of lunch and dinner - far beyond what I expected. The bistecca fiorentina was the BEST meal of my trip in Italy this year. Surprising considering it was here in Torno but yet that is the truth. Breakfast was also very very good. The STAFF is welcoming and wonderful. Angelo went out of his way for us. Osvaldo was our server for lunch and dinner. He found out I liked Adriano Celentano (musician/ actor/ singer) and made a CD for me of his music - and played it for us whenever we ate there. He was so sweet and helpful! One night there was a thunderstorm so the lights went out while we were in the dining room waiting for dinner. Osvaldo brought us candles. It was truly the most spectacular view- watching the lightning over Lake Como. Dinner by candlelight was my favorite. The other young man who works at the hotel was also so accommodating. I don't remember his name but he is originally from Turkey and has worked at GLAVJC for a long time. So sweet. The three of us were so pleased with everything here. Including the price. For the view, the food, the welcoming service - we feel the price was an excellent value. I would not specifically book Como again but next year, God willing, I will book this hotel just to have lunch and dinner here and enjoy the view. It's truly that good.

We chose this restaurant for our wedding because we searched a place which is nice, romantic, where the food is good and where the staff is kind and provides a familiar atmosphere. We definitely wanted to avoid the typical formal atmosphere around Como lake villas :) The staff of Momi is amazing, always smiling, kind and helps to fulfill all your requirements in a very elegant way. Being international, Momi allowed us to choose from different menu ( lake, sea fish, meat, vegetarian dishes). It was a big adventage! Momi is not just one chef who prepares you amazing food, but a personality who cares a lot about his guests, staff. Cooking is his passion, hobby and this is absolutely visibile and feelable on his food. I advice you to try Momi at least once in your life on the beautiful terrace of Como lake, and if you do not know where to organize your wedding than chose this place. The guest will leave their mouth opened for the location and will go away satisfied with the food quality. Also the price=quality is very interesting compared with other wedding location.Thank you Momi and all the staff, wish you all the best in the future and for sure we will meet again as this restaurant remained in our heart forever. Kitchen restaurant is the fine dining option for all ones are looking for a revised Italian cuisine in a sophisticated yet informal atmosphere opened onto the green.
Overall a really nice relaxing atmosphere & the staff were very friendly and the service really couldnât have been better.Food was good well presented but I thought some dishes could have more depth of flavour especially the appetisers & 1 course & desert The main I had the duck which was probably the best duck I have ever tasted, the crispy skin was very sweet & maybe could have benefited from a little heat or salt I was expecting the best tiramisu I have it looked amazing but I think could have had a more intense flavour for meBut overall I would recommend this restaurant

Terzo Crotto is a delightful restaurant serving traditional dishes that are fresh and tasty. We had steak Florentine for 2 that was absolutely delicious. Thereâs a very relaxed atmosphere that is warm and inviting without being noisy. Good wine list.

Dinner for 4 turned out to be a nice evening. Seating is very nice along the water - service is friendly and prompt. Starters and main courses look appetising and turned out to be good. Wines are priced correctly. The risotto was very good. The local fish fritata was less impressive. The tuna main course was excellent. Unfortunately, 2 of us who had the very tasty beef tartare as starter, got sick so we suspect that the raw meat was perhaps not in order.

We saw this restaurant from the ferry and thought it looked wonderful. We made a booking for lunch and arrived by ferry from Como. We had a table with an great view of the lake, but shaded by old pleached horse chestnut trees. The service was prompt and friendly. The menu was good with lots of lovely fish from the lake. My husband and I had a lake perch risotto and loved it. They also had a good Italian wine list and we found a superb italian chardonnay. It was so good we decided to repeat the experience and went back, this time on a Saturday. The restaurant was very busy, but we still had a table by the lake. This time they had a great anti pasti buffet inside, so I had a great first course of all sorts of things. We were one of the last to leave and hope to go to Lake Como again and go back to this gem of a restaurant.

The Imperialino is an elegant and refined gourmet Restaurant that offers a fascinating view on Lake Como. The kitchen, supervised by the Chef Sebastiano Adobati, proposes contemporary Italian dishes, inspired by the Lombard and Piedmontese tradition. On t
After the new year eveâs party we enjoyed a fantastic brunch buffet @ the imperialino! Great fresh food and nice and helpful waiters! It's worthwhile to travel here! After a lot of prosecco we walked through the village to digest - very nice! Will come back for sure!

Don't walk by this one - location from the road doesn't look all that much but they have a balcony that looks out onto the lake so the view is very pretty. The pasta though was amazing. Lovely choices and presented so prettily with fresh bread. We only popped in for a lunch on our way home but it seemed to get busy with locals and the food that was coming out looked stunning - including the puddings.

Came here on the recommendation of Tripadvisor. It's a large restaurant with a very contemporary feel. There was a promotion offering 20% off if you booked through the "fork" platform. Staff very friendly and efficient yet relaxed. The food was very well cooked and tasty - I had spaghetti with large succulent prawns. It wasn't very busy which was a shame but it was Halloween so perhaps people were at parties etc. Very impressive Halloween theming especially the huge plasma screens. I'd highly recommend this place - welcoming, unpretentious and reasonably priced
