I have been to this restaurant several times over the years. Keep hoping food and service will improve on my annual visits. It has not. Tasteless Buddha Bowl and over cooked fish dishes is what my family experienced. Your best to stick with something basic like a burger. Staff is friendly but seem to not know what they are doing. Service is slow and awkward. But you canât beat the view.Thank you fro sharing your experience Shelley. Although it is certainly not we aim for!WE will share your comments with our staff and try and learn from this.please don't give up on us, we do have a great many successes. Why we failed you is a mystery that we will solveall the bestJim GertridgeGeneral Manager

VERA is a seasonal restaurant located on the waterfront boardwalk of Ritchie Wharf Park in Miramichi NB. The concept of our menu is small plates for sharing using locally sourced & fresh ingredients.
The best place in Miramichi to eat and enjoy drinks, hands down. Great menu items, ideal for sharing. You need to try the Vera ceasar! Staff are friendly and service is excellent. Beautiful location, be sure to grab a table on the patio and enjoy the scenery.

I went to this establishment Saturday afternoon on the advise of my girlfriend, the place was packed with people waiting for their orders so that always seems like a good sign, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for 2 order of fish and chips it cost approx $30.00 .... the fish was almost non existent in the batter and the fries were greasy and soggy. Save your money and go to MacDonald's instead and going here was like throwing money out the window. At one time this was the best place on the river to get your fish and chips but it has definitely gone down hill

Local and tourist can easily underestimate this home-made cooking restaurant. The outside and inside look really....plain. But wait until you have a taste of their home-made cooking. You will mark this spot on your map as a must stop place to have a quick and "big" bite. From the poutine to the fish & chips, you will like them.

The service was down-home friendly and professional as well as fast.My family bought several menu items and I tried them all.The 60-year-old family secret batter recipe was perfect, it didn't overpower the fish or clams and texture was perfect. The fish was moist but not greasy, the fries even the odd dark one were great! The hot dog was good quality but they really went the extra mile with onions underneath the dog and both sides of the bun perfectly toasted :) The burger was good taste and texture, the bun stayed together to the last bite, I want to try the gourmet burger next time. The homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce were well on point, I was wiping both containers with my finger as to not leave any behind!Even the grill cheese was perfectly done. The BBQ chicken sub rivaled anything I have tried anywhere else. The girls had various drinks but I am a big fan of well water, which happened to be what they had on tap and I was not disappointed, clean crisp and cold and I drink a lot of water. The site has ample parking, even an ice skating rink out back, right on the snowmobile trails that go all the way to Fredericton and Miramichi. This more than worth the drive from my house and I will be going there, every month from now on.You also get a beautiful scenic river view drive on the way there.
