Avoid this place !!!! The service is extremely slow and the pizza's are horrible. In fact, the lady on the table next to us returned their pizza as it was uneatable. We were waiting for 30 minutes before the waiter took our order and had to wait for nearly an hour before we got served.... First time visiting with friends and I already thinking when to return again.The chef is really friendly and always up for talk and explanation about the food.Asking what taste you like to eat and then make sushi to your liking.This restaurant is pure sushi and not much of those fried rice or any western sushi restaurant. So it's really great to eat here.The price is good if you take the all you can eat menu or eat with plates.Also very fresh fish. One of the best sushi I ever ate in Belgium.Definitely worth to return.

Nice homely atmosphere. Starters of cheese and fish croquettes were local, authentic and top class. Main courses went downhill. No vegetables, just a cheap salad with no sauce or any interesting ingredients. Ribs were plentiful but over cooked and dry and needed spicing up. Mixed grill was tiny. Desserts average - the moelleux was poor, with no molten centre. Average food, but distinctly sub-par for Mechelen, which has so many stunning kitchens.

So the locals serve Mechelen cuckoo and describe it as âfancy chickenâ. The English would call it guinea fowl and here it is superb. Served with several tasty accompaniments. My friend with the fettuccini was happy. Only the burger wasnât great, but the message is: donât come to a top restaurant and order burger. Top in Mechelen.

I was invited for dinner by a Dutch friend. We both did not know what to expect but soon we realised that this was a really nice price quality Italian/Belgian restaurant. Nice menu: I chose Belgian cheese croquettes which were greatly prepared (crusty and lovely melting cheese inside). The scallopini were also excellent! Nice service and very close to the E19 highway.
