Rank haddock which could be smelt the moment I unwrapped the oil soaked paper. Phoned to advise of the health risk and after a short conversation and them putting the phone down decided to return in person. Unfortunately the shop was full and after waiting nearly ten minutes to speak to the manager I went to the front of the queue. The manger tried to decline there was anything wrong until I insisted she tried for herself, which she did and quickly spat it out. Then blame her fish supplier... I think the blame should undoubtedly stop at Tayloy's door. Been going to Taylor's for years but this evening will be the last. No way could they have no realised the fish was OFF by its offensive smell before frying it, let alone serving and selling it ..

Situated in the Old Fishmarket building in the heart of the Pantiles, Sankey's exclusive Champagne & Seafood bar is the jewel in the town's crown. Serving a wide range of Champagne & sparkling wines from around the world, it's a fabulous place to relax an
This is a stylish, chic, special venue. If you donât like seafood and Champagne/Prosecco, donât bother. If you donât appreciate fine food prepared with love, stay clear! This is a special place for romance, business, celebration or simply appreciation. We had the oysters to stray, which were lovely, accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco. Just wonderful. Then we had the lemon sole on the bone, simply grilled with a marinade/sauce. The new potatoes and green beans were a good addition. Their (red) Primitivo is very special, silky smooth and full of fruit. Quite outstanding. What a wonderful evening with friends: quiet, sophisticated, great service, and superb cuisine.
This is a small fish and chip shop hidden in the back of Crowborough. Everything is cooked to order and everything tastes good - lovely fresh fish, great batter, superb chips. Very reasonable too. Worth a detour
