If you are looking for a true italian place in the mixture of Meran City, this is like going to "Pasta ala Mama". Definitely one point down for making it hard to find. Especially at night when it is dark a bit of a scary path without signs. But once you found the door - you are in little Italy. As if you have landed in Mama's ktichen, just a few more tables. Fast service by the two lovely ladies and the chef controls the whole scene. Mainly fish ! But also some great Beef with Ruccola. I had Spaghetti Scoglio - Fantastic (picture enclosed). The sausage starters are rich and good for 2-3 people. And the warm Carciofi in oil. tasty. Huge Tiramisu as desert - take one for two. We had the local house wine by the quarter liter and the wine is good at low price. The only drawbacks are noise (place is crowded), it is hard to find and the entrance door is close to some tables.

Modern recipes with seasonal flavours served in a stylish ambience â the Trautmannsdorf Restaurant in a nutshell. At the "Trauti" â as regular guests affectionately call their favourite restaurant in Merano/Meran â you can really feel the personal touch.
You are just in front of Schloss Trauttmannsdorf, a very good location, botanical Gardens around; restaurant consisting in large spaces inside, an appealing garden outside. There you'll enjoy a vast choice of appetizers, first and second courses, meat and fish. Creative dishes, international customers. Very good choice of excellent local wines. Very professional service, you'll have a sommelier at your table, preparing your wine. Adequate prices (obviously very far from cheap), but it's worth it, you'll have a very good time.Dear MarcovP, Thank you for recommending the Trauttmansdorff with this kind review. We are pleased to read that the experience we provided could meet your expectations, and hope to have you as our guest again soon. With kind regards,Gerlinde and Albert Gross

Small cozy trattoria situated on the road to the roman bridge. Owned by a couple from Agrigento their sicilian passion for food shines through. Good food tasty and well prepared from an interesting menu. A complimentary glass of Zibibbo finished the meal and we left with a smile on our faces

Spectacular. Memorable. Unique. The list of words that describe the view of our restaurant is long. But one thing is clear: there is no equal. Like a rare gem, the glazed Panorama Restaurant is enthroned high on the rocks just beside the quiet forest. Not
Well, who would not be impressed with the view from this great restaurant. Merano and its surrounding mountains seem to be at your feet. We eat on the sun kissed Terrence enjoying a lovely early autumn lunch. Our food was delicate and very tasty. I had the troffiette with mushrooms and cheese and my partner the pasta with veal ragout and truffles. The Apfestrudel desert with homemade vanilla ice cream was lovely too. Great wine selection by the glass. It is not a cheap eat, but it is well worth it.

We were in Merano for a kids-and-husband-free weekend with some friends. After a full day at the thermal baths we were drinking a Gin Tonic and trying to find out an open restaurant that served gluten free option (one of my friends got celiac disease) on a Sunday night in Merano. We were extremely surprised and pleased with Chapeau. Food was very good, fresh and well presented. Service was pleasant and very attentive. Price was coherent with the quality of the food we ate. Will go back to it for sure in case I'll be in Merano again.

I took my parents there for their 56th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is very nice (I would avoid eating in the "stube"), very typical Tyrolean. The service was extraordinary and the food exceptional. I actually found it difficult to choose just one starter, one main course and one desert. The wine recommended was perfect and it was one of the more reasonably priced one. Book well in advance

Now quite difficult to fine one place popular prices and have good qualities. This place its one of some left. Noisy, nearrow, not romantic, serving like " I don't care", but qualities of foods will make you forgot all, more after look in to the bill, you can wear sunglass, look cool and say "I will be back".
