Restaurant, on terrace, tapas of regional products of excellence.
Already last year we've enjoyed the extremely delicious tapas. They are very tasty, still very light and therefore good to be digested, old recipes adjusted, prepared and served by a very friendly family. And all this with a view on the nice surroundings of Praia Verde

It was our first visit to the south of Portugal. The views to the sea are amazing and the food and service excellent. Cod âInfanteâ style, octopus with garlic and grilled squid, are really nice and tender. Desserts very good too, but donât order tarta de nata If you think that is like the pastel de nata. Ask the waiter first.

During March a number of restaurants in the area are either closed or offer reduced menu's. This excellent restaurant offers a full menu. The staff are highly professional, friendly and attentive and clearly very well trained and take pride in the service they offer. It has a very nice atmosphere and even in March gets quite busy although we did what is considered a very British thing arriving at 6.15 when we were the only diners! by 8.00 it gets reasonably busy with local families. Large car park, spotlessly clean, varied menu, excellent responsive service, food of a high standard and beautifully presented. Very reasonable prices for the quality offered. We will use again when in the area. There are vegetarian options, nearly all dishes can be prepared without gluten.

I have been coming to Cacela for the past 10 years and each time have visited Sabinos once or twice during our 2 week stay taking family and friends, we have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and friendly professional staff!Unfortunately this year it looks like the staff have completely changed?! Maybe itâs been sold on?! Inside looks almost the same but the service and food were certainly not! I asked for Sea bass and was told there was only one fish left which was sea bream?! The restaurant had only just opened and we were the 2nd couple to order? My husband ordered the sea bream which he said tasted good and I ordered an omelette but was not impressed by the service or lack of it!So sad that Sabinos has gone downhill but no atmosphere mediocre food we will not be returning.

We came here to have dinner on our way back to the hotel from the beach. We had soup for starter and we shared a portion of grilled fish. The soup was very good, even though a "vegetables soup" in a Portuguese restaurant does not promise anything special. The fish was definitely very delicious. Grilled in charcoal and to the level of any good restaurant in the country. The portion of the fish was 11 Euros, which not at all expensive for this part of Portugal. We were served by the man other reviews mention, which is probably the owner. The restaurant seems to be a family run. The staff was very nice (no fuss about us sharing and not having any wine) and, I dare to guess, prone to communication with foreign nationals. The place is nothing special. Ac inside, but we preferred to stay outside in a small area just off the bar room.

This is a place where we go frequently to have fish, which is always perfect. The fish is always fresh, cooked beautifully, their seafood rice is simply amazing. Great restaurant.

We visited this place specifically after having read the reviews on TA. We arrived at about 9:30pm on a Tuesday night and there was a queue of maybe 20 people waiting ahead of us. We decided to wait a while and ended up waiting for maybe 45 mins, but it was such a beautiful night we didn't really mind. We're a party of 8 (two families) on holiday, but my husband and I had managed to get away on our own and I'm glad we did as I'm not sure this would have suited our kids so well. If yours like shellfish, cheese and meats and aren't looking for a 'full meal', they may well be happy with this, but ours wouldn't. The atmosphere here was great. Lots of families, most local or so it seemed. The whole town was buzzing and we got the impression it really only comes alive after dark, but it was a chilled Portuguese buzz rather than a typical holiday resort buzz - much to our pleasure. We ordered a few oysters to start as my husband had never had them before and it's many years since I've had them myself. Our waiter suggested we get couple of cooked and a couple of raw each to try both. They were incredibly fresh and tasted of the sea - the raw with a squeeze of lemon were particularly nice. My husband doesn't eat cured meats or cheese, so we stuck to the shellfish and bread. I may go back with a friend and try the meats and cheese before we go home. We had the fried prawns and clams - both delicious. This place is definitely worth a try if you're looking for some fresh shellfish cooked perfectly. The lady across from the restaurant with a table selling her homemade cakes also deserves a mention. It was late by the time we visited so she'd sold out of a few types, but had carob, chocolate, fig and cheesecake left. We tried a slice each of the carob and the fig. Just â¬3 for both and they were absolutely delicious. If she spoke English I'd definitely be going back to ask for the recipe.
