Due to the lack of reasonable and clean dining options in this city/island we visited this group of stalls providing fish, vegetables and drinks on a number of occasions in the past month. We either had the red snapper or the white snapper.Portions sufficient for two and including vegetables and as-much-as-you-can-eat rice as well as delicious Indonesian lime juice areRp 280,000 for the red snapper OR Rp 190,000 for the white snapper. The meat is firmer and easier to de-bone for the white snapper, but far tastier meat for the red snapper. Red Snapper is often sold out so arrive early at around 6:30 or so.Cats are there but not really a problem ie they don't climb on the tables or beg aggressively if it is obvious that you won't cater for their needs. Buskers are also totally unobtrusive when compared to Jl. Malioboro in Yogyakarta. They perform on ths sides and aren't allowed to hassle patrons. People in Indonesia generally don't hassle you when you are eating.Everything here is fresh, ice in drink comes from boiled water. This can be checked. Fish is prepared by mater craftsman. He welcomes videos made of him. It is all part of the show.

Like many restaurant in Ambon they serve fish and he sea food is so fresh in this island so i recommended you to take any fish cuisine while you here in Ambon. This restaurant from the exterior is like small restaurant with street food but once you inside and taste their cuisine, wow the fish is very tasty and fresh we order from grilled fish to Ambon style with yellow curry and sweet and sour fish, all is good, the shrimp , clam and crab is just nice. they serve the crab with yellow curry and salty eggs dressing, surprisingly savory and delicious. their juice is also nice some local fruit called gandaria is sweet and sour drink with manggoish taste :)

Went here for dinner with two cousins. We ordered various items of the menu, including sate ayam, beef, chicken, sayur tjampur and ikan bakar with tjolo-tjolo sauce. Except for the fish everything else tasted fine. The fish however was very dry, meaning it's been cooked for too long. The tjolo-tjolo sauce was not even near how it's supposed to be (I'm of Moluccan descent, so I know how it should taste). Apart from that, the service was very slow, even with only three tables occupied. So no recommendation for fish dishes here.

We found this restaurant after 30 hours of travel and found the ferry to Banda Neira wasn't running due to bad weather. Tuna grilled just right, crab in ginger lemon grass chili (just light), views across the bay... really what more could you ask? Happily recommend.

Nice spot for some food. Very extensive food menu with great tastes. The drinks menu is good but lacks spirits... But the staff are very helpful and happy to help source spirits outside if needed :) They had a live singer present which was a nice touch. Overall very good night

One Thing I like from this restaurant beside its sea food menu, is the Colo-colo (Moluccas traditional food) and the spicy sambal. While having dinner here, you can order various kind of sea food, like shrimps, fishes and the soap. And You can taste the otak-otak, the small powdered baked fish with covered by leaf of bananas. All the food are tasty

Ambon is bustling city, full of suprises. In the heart of town, close to the Pattimura monument, Dapor Kole Kole is such a place. Elegant interior, superfriendly staff, good wifi, great food and drinks. I spent some afternoons working there. In the meantime, I enjoyed the mango juice, the coffee, the pisang goreng (yes, with cheese and chocolate!), the tuna sarimi, the cangkung, the mie goreng. And when my friends joined me for dinner, the food just kept getting better. The dishes are modest in size, nothing fancy or pretentious, just very carefully made, with taste and the exact right balance of ingredients and spices. Very affordable too. Really a pleasure to find such a modest, tasteful place in a city that deserves the best.
