At the end of our holiday in Sardinia we came across this restaurant by chance,it is situated just off the main street in Macomer,it doesn`t look very flashy from the outside, probably because is part of the "Hotel Marghine" but as soon as you enter you notice the perfectly set tables, the classy sardinian themed decor and the professionalism of the staff. We had typical local dishes:Culurgiones,Ravioli, one other pasta with Bottarga and a Risotto dish, previously we ordered 2 Antipasto for 4 people(they were very generous) and of course we were also served a variety of breads, for that reason we skipped the main course, the portions are very generous, but we managed (just) to fit 3 servings of Sebadas,2 with honey and one with a ricotta/orange filling, they were delicious. The chef came personally to each table for advise and feedback, dressed impeccably in her uniform, you could tell they really aim to please and are passionate about food...I honestly cannot find any negative thing about this place, maybe they should make it more noticeable from the outside or it is possible they want it to keep it as it is:discreet.I am looking forward to my next visit to "Da Gigi"and are going to bring some other food lovers with me,this is a place worth putting on your travel list of "must do"things

Found this place by accident whilst travelling across the island. It's an odd town. Feels like everyone has left - so many places boarded up. Restaurant is dark and a bit old fashioned but, oh my word, the food is good. Transport the cooking to the UK and it would be the best Italian in any town.We both ordered pasta - prawn ravioli and trofeo with grilled veg. Both were phenomenal. Obviously made fresh. When we heard that they had just finished making a batch of tirimisu we ordered one to share. Legendary.A coat of paint and a few light bulbs and it should be given a Michelin star.

From a "Mignon" story started in the 70s to Tamuli's: tradition and creativity respecting nature and its products, to be savored in a welcoming and completely renovated environment, from a simple relaxing break to a lunch at the most important event. "We

Travelling back from our stay in Bosa we passed through Macomer and stopped for lunch. This restaurant was sign posted from the road so we took a chance on going in not knowing what to expect. There was no one else inside so were slightly nervous about committing to eat here but we needn't have been! Fortunately for us the manager was very friendly and spoke good english and, although we were hoping for pizza, he made recommendations from the restaurant menu as pizza was unavailable on a lunchtime. The food was all freshly made and just as he described, a wonderful last meal on our holiday! The interior was very quaint too with lovely frescoes and telegraph lines. I can't believe that no one else has added a review of this lovely little restaurant!
