Just on the main promenade of Loutraki, this restaurant will not disappoint you. Service is "Greek", so from speedy to snaily, pretty much everything is possible. Just smile and joke with the waiters and you're in for a great meal... cause... the food is great. Good, solid, fresh, Greek seafood.

Hubby and I traipsed the entire Loutraki beachfront and main street looking for a dining room that wasn't engulfed in cigarette smoke. Why on earth does Greece permit smoking in public dining areas? We found Filippas tucked away on a side street, and it didn't look like it was even open. When we inquired, Debbie told us they weren't offering the full menu, and that we could choose from half a dozen options if we wanted to stay. I'd never seen anything like these concoctions, so I asked her to explain what each was. We could choose from a plate piled high with okra, another plate piled with peas and veggies, lemon chicken and roasted potatoes, etc.We ended up ordering a spinach and rice entree, a large bowl of bean soup, and beef meatballs in a red sauce with fries. A carafe of complimentary water was brought to the table, which I appreciated because so many restaurants bring only a bottle of water and then charge you when you open it.We might have waited ten minutes for the spinach to arrive, and oh my goodness, was it incredible. The soup and meatballs arrived later. I've never tasted such excellent meatballs - the real deal, home made, scrumptious. The bean soup was delicious with fresh baked bread. The bill for all three items was 19 euros. The restaurant does have a non-smoking section, though the dining room is small, so you'd smell smoke anyway if someone lit up in the smoking area. We managed to avoid smoke during dinner. The food was excellent, portions were very generous, and prices were reasonable. Bring cash though. They had no capacity for accepting credit/debit cards.

The best restaurant ever!It is located not in the centre of the city that is why there is no people there. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and serves the food by herself. She always recommends the best dishes. She likes fishing so all fish is fresh and tasty. The atmosphere and the food is more then fantastic, especially eggplants (must try!!!) The prices are reasonable!

We had a simple lunch at the tavern. The food is typical Greek, the wine is good and the brothers are doing a great job serving and taking care of the clients. The location is very charming. One has a very good view of the limanaki of Loutraki. A very good spot for a simple well-cooked meal.

After I tested almost all the tavernas in Loutraki, I strongly suggest Ichthyioessa, for lunch and dinner, where you will find always exactly the same high quality and attention. Firstly the environment is unique, both in summer with sea breathtaking view and in winter, close to a lovely fireplace 360 °open. The service is excellent, very sensitive to clients' needs. But the main point is the cuisine, successful combination of tradition and innovation. It's the Kingdom of the greek "mezes", so you can taste amazing salads (not the "common" salads) with avocado, capers, dry tomatoes and parmisan and of course fresh fish to grill or fry (check it with your eyes). Of course you can't miss the craft beer from the Corinthian Channel! In one sentence... simply the best fish taverna in Loutraki!

Really really disappointed: good location, bad service. Fresh products, bad cooked. We took a dolmadakia (really good), Risotto with 3 cereals (it was really sweet) and a fish with wild greens. On the menu, instead of other fishes, this was described with no sauce but it came fully fully covered on top and on the bottom (both fish and wild greens) of a white sauce. I asked explanation to the waiter since Iâm allergic to many ingredients and this sauce was not in the menu; he could not speak very well in english and was really rude: it brought me back the same fish just without the bottom of sauce. After another fight and after 30 minutes he brought me back in a ruder way a grilled fish but instead of wild greens it had peppers (that I do not eat) and another sauce again (yellow this time). So I stopped fighting and I tried to eat the part without. At the end we wanted to order a dessert but the same waiter started cleaning up in a very brutal way, we had no time to finish the water and we understood it was better to leave.Too expensive and too pretentious for what it offers: we paid 55 euro to eat nothing and without ordering wine or desserts.Waiters are brutal and I felt offended. There are better places in Loutraki and less expensive, my advice is to go to this place just to drink and enjoy the location.

We visited this place several times. One of the most good cooked seafood plates is here. The same big portions like as everywhere in Loutraki restaurants.

We know we should avoid restaurants in front of the sea, anyway we tried it as it was quite well evaluated on trip advisor. Tuna salad and eggplant salad were filled with industrial mayonnaise. Waiter was kind of nice but the food was really below everything we ate in Greece all around Peloponese, even 2⬠pitas in anonymous restaurants.

Authentic sea's tastes, with unchanged quality over time, have become a reference for 3 generations.Famous tastes in every part of Greece thanks to the authenticity, the freshest ingredients and stable quality. A rich variety of seafood dishes and appetiz
Had a delicious dinner (two couples) at Kavos. Perfect in every sense - friendly and competent advice regarding choice of fish, tasty starters (Greek salad, Tsatsiki, White taohama etc), wonderfully tasty spaghetti with shrimp and black grouper with grilled vegetables.A recommendation without any "but" - including reasonable value for money (140 for a party of 4 incl wine)
