San Remo is a lovely city to visit. If you get the weather, it is even better. We stayed in the Hotel Bella Epoque which is small beautiful and very friendly. See my review in Hotels. Lots of lovely restaurants, nice beaches, an hour on the train from Nice and much better value. Also close to Monte Carlo. There is a cycle track along the old railway line which is a must do. Lots of of places to hire bicycles. I wanted to see local towns in the mountains so I picked Cerana and Bajardo. Number 15 local bus from Bus Station in centre will get you there in an hour. Not to many buses so plan your return bus.I enjoyed it but wife didn't. Got a bit travel sick.Swimming in the sea is also very pleasurable. Lots of big waves.

The place looks good if you consider interior, but other than that is rather disappointing first and foremost in terms of food. My tortellini were definitely made not in house, but simply boiled ones from a nearest supermarket. The salad was as huge as it was inedible. The house wine was not good at all. Service was slow and inefficient. Bearing in mind all the wonderful restaurants out there in Lignano, which are plenty, Iâd rather recommend to avoid this place altogether.

SPANISH RESTAURANT authentic spanish food, good spanish chef, real and nice atmosphere, conditioned air or little garden where can not smoking. Games for children. Open every night IN THE SUMMER
Had a lovely paella here with my kids and nice tapas. Good and drinks were well priced and good value for money. The staff and service were very good and the experience as a whole was very pleasurable. I'd go again and recommend! Graçias!molte grazie a voi! e avi vostri bambini!

Our last night at Lignano, the ghost town while in fall & winter. We decided to go based on being number 1 on TripAdvisor. Place was empty but people started to arrive after us. Someone here mentioned about the extra salad bar (cart) fee so I avoided since I would have probably just picked a piece arugula or similar, not worth it. Also someone mentioned big portions, correct. And this place charges 3 euro cover each person while all other restaurants have been charging 1.2 to 1.5 Regardless, a big observation: our bread/chips basket got refilled but to elegant way like this restaurant portrays. Waiter came with the toasted bread chips from the supermarket and just tossed in front of us the remnants of the bag. Yes all the crumbs.....we were in shock and then laughing. I think there is a problem with ventilation or the grill chimney since I ended up being smoked with the grilled. I came to my hotel smelling like if I was in a camping BBQ. Make sure a real Waiter will serve to super-sized white dishes or you run the risk of having spaghetti accidentally thrown at you, like what happened to our table neighbors being served by the owners wife. Serve one at a time! Specially if they are so big and heavy! The food was amazing though great gnocchi, and the steak. Saluti.Rueda Gaucha.

Kinda smaller "Ma 'n Pa" joint a little outside the city center. Fantastic sea food. My husband and I read about that place here on this page, and decided to check it out...defenitly the right decision! We ordered scallops and mussels as a starter. The main courses were Linguine with crab meat, and black ravioli with shrimp. The ravioli looked home made, bigger in size and filled with smoked salmon. We couldn't resist and ordered a desert, a mascarpone cream with Amaretto and Grand Manier! Eating at that place alone was worth driving 5 hours from Germany down to Italy. If we stayed here longer we would hit this joint up more often!

We wanted to try some speciality from the Italian see and was not disappointed at all with our choice for first evening meal. The place is really nice and the staff is also very polite. Our picks were seafood starter dish, salmon tagliolini and tuna steak. Fantastic tastes. We recommend Blu Marino âºï¸Buongiorno councillort, grazie per la bella recensione che ci ha lasciato!Grazie di consigliarci, felici vi siate trovati bene!A presto, tornate a trovarci!

First of all, we decided to go to sandrocchia based on the great reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not so great as expected . Restaurant was packed of people. Pizza seemed amazing. People working there were very nice. However my appetizer ( crudo for 2 ppl - â¬56) was blend and none of the fishes there were particularly flavory. For these â¬â¬â¬ I was expecting WAY more ! Main course was a grigliata di pesce. Another bad decision. Every single fish was over cooked and with no flavor. Other people in our table got the sauté di cozze ( decent ) and the frittura ? Very good ). My mum got the cacciucco alla livornese which was good and tasty . I complained about the experience and they offer the crudo dish. Wonât be back anyways or maybe for pizza only

We found the food of average quality and very expensive. However our dinner companions from Europe were estatic of the seafood, which we have in abundance in our home town of Perth Australia, so we never order the seafood of Lobster when we travel or eat out at all, so perhaps this is an unfair review when the food we chose, bacala and sole, and pasta with prawns, was very ordinary! However the location was lovely, though necessary to carry mosquito repellant for the protection from Zika virus which the locals arm themselves against!
