We always have a take away because half the pleasure is sitting on the sea wall eating fish and chips. Big queue at a bank holiday lunch time but quickly and efficiently served. Cod and chips twice - piping hot, very fresh and delicious, What more could you ask for?

Chips tasted as if they had been kept hot for too long. Soggy and not nice at all. I asked for a medium haddock....if that size of fish is a medium then the small portion must be minute! Not good. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

The Seafood & Grill restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if you are lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It
This place is lovely, right on the beachfront, huge outdoor patio overlooking the sea. So with the view etc you expect it to be expensive, but then you so expect the food to be good. We had decided to have fish and chips as we had already smelt some that people were eating from the many takeaways, but we wanted to sit down with a drink. £12.50 each for fish and chips, £34 in total with drinks, but hey, this is gone be so good. Wrong. Fish was tasteless, chips soggy as the liquid (water) from the peas had drenched the plate. Couldn't even smell the fish at all. As I said at this price you expect quality, wasn't until someone else ordered I realised why it wasn't so good. They asked what fish, and they were told haddock. Not cod. For this price I would expect cod. Won't be going back. Charge for quality, supply quality. Very dissapointing tasteless foodDear petesmithhomeMany thanks for your recent review. I apologise that your recent visit to the Brudenell did not meet your expectations. I will pass on your comments to the kitchen regarding the dish and If you would be so kind to email me regarding the service element I would be grateful. My email address is [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.Regards Rob DixonOperations Manager

We paid a visit to Thorpeness Golf Club whilst we were on holiday in Sizewell (Beachview Caravan Park) we didnât know what to expect as Ogilvies hasnât got many reviews as yet. No need to worry though as Iâm sure excellent reviews will be coming soon, as the service and quality of food is excellent. Large portions and good value for money. My wife said her fish and chips were amazing. If in the area and looking for somewhere to have breakfast, lunch or tea definitely give this place a go. Youâll not be disappointed.

Eliza's Thai Street Cafe is a wonderful seasonal pop up street cafe based at DP's BAR Aldeburgh UK. We serve authentic freshly prepared thai dishes. Fresh fish from The fishermen on aldeburgh beach cooked thai style. Started with my wonderful Thai friend
Its been a few years since we visited this place and what luck the food is delicious. They will make it as authentic as your taste budsrequire. We ate in the bar but I understand there is a more formal restaurant space upstairs should you require it. Excellent.Thank you so much for taking the time to review our street food cafe. So glad you enjoyed our authentic food xThanksEliza and the Gang

There were 6 of us, and we fancied a sit-down lunch. Canât book, so we made our way upstairs. Obviously, we wanted to sit together (all tables for 4 really), but the rather bossy waitress set us out as a not-very-sociable 4+2. I re-arranged the chairs to a 3+3 (boys & girls), and she copped the right hump. I could quite easily have left at that point. Suddenly, another table became free, in the middle, so we all squeezed round it. We all enjoyed our fish (5 cod and a haddock); mostly large and a couple of mediums. Soft drinks only on the menu, but you can take your own wine for a £3.50 corkage charge. Food was better than average, but they need to chill out a bit, no matter how busy they may be.

We had a terrific late-afternoon 3 course meal with several drinks, the service was welcoming, friendly and efficient, the food was absolutely delicious, the fish curry is to die for and it's probably the best garlic bread we've ever tasted. Marvellous value at £72 for 3 courses and several drinks including wine.

Whilst staying in Aldeburgh came across this excellent little restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food both on the menu and specials board also catered very well for gluten free can highly recommend and would not hesitate to go back it was a very packed evening but there was no wait for service or the food and there was no rush in between courses which in some places you can get so cannot wait to go back when next in the area

You have gradually changed my listing from restaurant to Quick Bites. This has been a mistake and caused many preblems. Please would you change us back as restaurant is a much more accurate classification of what we do than a quick bitery. Thank you. Dunc
The perfect way to try local fish. We bought a sample tray which had several different varieties of smoked fish, as well as prawns and cockles. All really tasty and good value. Went back the next day for more!

Fish and chip take away and licensed restaurant
All we wanted after a long day was some good fish and chips. We found this little gem on Trip Advisor and approached with trepidation as it was surrounded by scaffolding and the area looked rather run down. What a lovely surprise when we walked in the takeaway side was busy and the restaurant was also fairly busy which was a good omen. We had a couple of beers and haddock and chips with mushy pease and we could not fault anything.
