Thanks to Flyer in The ArBnB were we staying in with our grandsons we learned about Tommy's Family Restaurant. When approaching the restaurant our first reaction was Wow, the food must be Great! Now granted it was a Friday Night and the tiny parking lot was crowded however we found a spot for our car and went inside. We were immediately directed to what appeared to be the only open seating spot in the restaurant. The restaurant makes use of every inch inside to seat their guests whch on a Friday Night certainly helps as Tommy's was jam packed. Menus were left and we started studying them as there are a wide variety of choices plus on their white boards there were the Seafood selections for the evening. Our server did an excellent job not only handling our party but the several others she had in her section. We were "blown-away" with her ability to remember all we ordered without writing it down when she took our orders. When later asked, she explained how and why this came about. Quite a talent! As a result of her sharing we started off with a double serving of their Onion Rings for an appetizer. They were a hit as the grandsons ( who at times are picky eaters) helped polish them off before our entrees came. Tommy's has a kids menu and the meals come with a side which there are many to choose from. Serving portions are plenty. Prices were good especially for the amount of food one gets. The grandsons ate well. My wife had a selection from the "Greek Section" of Tommy's menu. I had the 1/2 All White Chicken dinner with 3 sides. I ended up taking home part of the chicken and believe me it was just as good Saturday night for a snack. Highly recommend The Chicken! So, if visiting Weaverville, NC for dinner Tommy's Family Restaurant is worth a visit!

Since its opening in 2005, The Lobster Trap has been Asheville's premier seafood restaurant, and with good reason. The menu only features fresh seafood caught by trusted domestic purveyors and prepared in ways that showcase the delicate flavors and textur
We live in NY and have visited this area from time to time visiting family. We had dinner here over a decade ago, enjoyed it, so when we returned to visit a brother, we took him to this place. It was a fantastic experience! We parked across the street which is private until 6:30 pm. Our server was Maggie R who added so much to our experience with patience and great suggestions. We enjoyed Pinot Gris to wash down many helpings of Lobster Bisque, a Ceasar salad with huge amounts of Lobster added. A steam bowl of Shrimp and Fish Dip along with an order of baked Oysters. All items were great and a result of our discussing many choices with Maggie. We found prices very fair for what we got (remember we are from the NYC area) and would go back again and again. This place is highly recommend. I hope we will be back!!!Thank you for your wonderful compliments! I will be sure to share your review with Maggie. We are so glad you decided to visit us again!

We are a very casual neighborhood restaurant and bar, with great food and a great list of house brewed beers. Please stop in, seat yourself and we will do our best to take care of you. Cheers, Billy & Jim
Atmosphere is terrific. We had the blue cheese fried oysters and they were excellent. Also had the Gumbo and it was the best we're ever had, anywhere. Finished with the grilled shrimp salad and that as well was plentiful and very good. Love the fact that the beers are all their own brews. Recommend the Stouts. Bloody Mary's are also very very good. Prices I think are all a very good value. Don't understand some of the other review comments. We have two of the most trendy and best restaurants in the city right across the street from each other (Oyster House and Sunny Point). Highly recommend both.

River Arts District European Inspired Appalachian Cuisine. Raw Bar. Handmade Cocktail. Old World Wine
Robin started everything off perfectly. Even changed over a Negroni cocktail glass. Started with the caviar and 8 oysters with mignonette saucing. That and a dash of Tabasco yielded 8 amazing bites. The butter poached Cod with mushroom melange was perfectly prepared, flaky and hot. Nice to see the consistency over 3 years. The entry way is well worn and seemingly the wrong route, but proceed cautiously, it will be worth it. Look for the T-Rex skeleton!

Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.
Ate here and had a wonderful experience. Made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. Hostess promptly sat us. The waitress was terrific with a good pace throughout the dinner. Food was unique and wonderful. I would recommend to anyone in the area. The meals are about 25 so not inexpensive but a nice night out.

While weâd consider our cuisine âAmericanâ to reflect a melting pot of beautiful diversity, we emphasize global or âof the continentsâ as the muse for our menu. We start with the absolute best possible locally sourced ingredients and then mix in some crea
WOW! A very unassuming storefront restaurant in West Asheville, you would never expect the quality of food and reasonableness of the wine list that youâll get at Jargon. A small Southern menu, with interesting appetizers (shareable) and an eclectic wine list of broad variety. The Hushpuppies are fabulous. The shrimp and grits delicious and very reasonably priced ($17). The pear dessert is off the charts. A canât miss choice. Our wait person, Andrea, was very knowledgeable and greatly helped with our food and wine choices. A minimalist vibe and excellent food.
