I love this place except when they are busy. Food is excellent and service has always been great, however when busy you are crammed into every possible spot and it is hard to not feel like your eating with the tables around you. The wait staff has trouble getting around the tables, the greeters have problems with seating (7:00 reservation didnât get seated until 7:40 because I didnât want to sit at the small table next to the toilet.). And the kitchen seemed a little overwhelmed. I will be.back just not on a Friday or Saturday evening.

OK, I admit it, doing something the umpteenth time expecting a different result is insanity, but when the family you are eating with really likes it, you go along for the ride. The food at this place has never been great for my taste. I eat here about once a year when family members want to have it. The owner is a really nice guy and the food and service here are pretty consistent, I have just never been a fan of their food. The service has always seemed a bit inconsistent and when we arrived to pick up a large to go order, they were apologizing as it wasn't ready. No big deal, better a 5 minute wait than cold food. They packed it well. It was accurate. Lots of condiments and enough slaw and beans to feed an army (a pint of each for each entree). Nice people and a fairly quiet atmosphere with seating to wait. But here is the rub for me; everything is battered in the same batter (which isn't particularly tasty to me) and deep fired. This time I had the combo plate of chicken strips, catfish and popcorn shrimp. Not sure I ever got even the slightest taste of shrimp in the nuggets of batter. The shrimp sauce was good though. The catfish was genuinely unappealing; a bit dry from overcooking and the bland breading and grease taste were the primary flavors. Chicken strips were a bit overdone and again, the breading and grease were the primary flavors and by the color and taste, the grease was a bit past the point where it imparted a dirty grease taste to the food. Beans were OK, but like everything else, bland. Slaw was good and they gave you enough of it to compensate for the relatively high cost of the combo (around $15.99). Don't get me wrong, this place apparently isn't bad for most folks; their food is consistent, they have two locations and have been in business for years so something must be right. But this is really not food I would ever eat by first choice. It isn't just deep fried food either, as I find the deep fried chicken tenders at our local grocery store absolutely delicious! I just like to be able to differentiate between entree foods and have breading an grease flavors that enhance the taste of each item as opposed to cover it up with an overwhelming flavor of bland blah...

new location but has been there about 1 year I think
We hadnât been to Red Lobster in almost 2 years because we were so disappointed last time. This time was an excellent experience. The Manager checked on us to make sure everything was good. The waitress did an amazing job and the food was fresh and delicious! Last time the restaurant was chaotic and loud. This time it was so pleasant!
