Reviews on Seafood food in Lavrio, Attica, Greece. Laurium or Lavrio or Lavrion (Greek: Λαύριο; Ancient Greek: Λαύριον; before early 11th century BC: Θορικός Thorikos; from Middle Ages until 1908: Εργαστήρια - Ergastiria) is a town in southeastern part of Attica, Greece. It is the seat of the municipality of Lavreotiki. Laurium was famous in Classical antiquity for its silver mines, which was one of the chief sources of revenue of the Athenian state. The metallic silver was mainly used for coinage. The Archaeological Museum of Lavrion shows much of the story of these mines.

Lavrio is not Greece's most attractive town. If you are there, you may be a yachtie. To Limani is on the harbour, and we nearly didn't go, figuring that it was a tourist trap. WRONG! Go there! We went 3 times because it was fine local cooking served with a friendly smile. Particularly recommend the fried calamari and the mussels in white wine. Reasonable prices, good va!ue.

What a delightful lunch after a visit to Sounion. Pleasant room, lovely view and a delicious lunch, especially the seafood. We were having such a delightful Sunday afternoon until we asked for the bill. Our server delivered a sum verbally that was at least 6 euros higher than what we'd ordered. This is illegal on several levels. In Greece restaurants are legally required to leaving a running, written (i.e. computer-generated) tab on your table during your meal. We're not tourists, we're native English speakers who live in Greece. If you're not a Greek native, this joint views you as a target. Visitors, beware.

We stopped here for dinner after a visit to the Poseidon temple and everything we ordered, six of us was excellent. The waiter was so helpful advising us what fish was fresh that day and even told us to cut back on our order when we got carried away! Grilled halloumei cheese drizzled with oil and balsamic the best we had during our trip. Order the mixed seafood platter you won't be disappointed. Lovely staff, perfect last night in Greece.

Today was the second visit here. The seafood is fantastic. We had fresh calamari and shrimp, salad, zucchini and wine. The setting is beautiful. Probably the best seafood I've had during my stays in Greece. I will definitely be returning.

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant, every time after a nice swim in the Lavrio area. For me, a perfect place for lunch with a cold beer or an ouzo, having lots of different plates on the table, seafood, fish, traditional small plates, salads. The restaurant is nicely situated in the Lavrio harbor with a nice view to the sea front, and in a rather quiet area; very friendly staff too. It is definitely worth visiting.

The Old Station restaurant in Lavrio is a great choice for Greek cuisine. At the central point of Lavrio, in Heroes Square, you will find a traditional but at the same time modern restaurant, surrounded by plenty of trees and flowers, at the point where t
Not too hungry we arrived from Kea by Ferry, checked in Hotel Nikolakakis and found this restaurant at 50 m from the hotel. We ordered appetizers only and enjoyed it. We had french fries, fried zucchini, crab salad, tzatziki, bread and 1/2 liter of white wine. It all tasted good especially the crab salad. Service was efficient and friendly.

Olga's family restaurant is the journey of taste. Wide variety of fresh fish and meat, home made appetizers, at Fish market place, Lavrio.
Olga is a friendly restaurant with owners very eager to help their guests, however the quality of the various dishes is so average, that I do not think that I would return soon. In general the quality of the ingredients was very average, and the dishes had no specific flavor. Not warmly recommendedd

This place is on a fairly quiet pedestrian street in central Lavrion. It features all the Greek fish taverna fare, without flashy innovative additions. The quality of the food was good, as was the service. Surprisingly, the restaurant-name fish (atherina - smelt) was not on the menu.
