This was a classic gastronomic temple in l'Alt Emporda, especially to eat top quality seafood. We've came back after a couple of years and the experience has been quite unpleasant. They have included two kind of Menus (crisis is for everybody), completely unconsistent and without any singular attraction. We ate some seafood, which was good but astonished with the price of the "Mariscada": ⬠140, joined with the following sentence: "possible to share" ???? Excellent desserts (as they were in the past) but a general sensation they must improve a lot if they want to reach what they were in the past.

The Noray is the Restaurant of "Port Salin" hotel.We have been several times recently as we enjoy the fare very as well as the waterside location.In addition to the 'a la carte' menu they offer a very good value 'menu del dia' given the excellent quality of the food.The service is warm, friendly and efficient, we look forward to our next visit.

This was the third year that we have visited beautiful L'Escala in May, and we will doubtless be back again next Spring. We discovered La Clota on our visit when staying at an appartment just opposite, and have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there several times since. It never disappoints. Last week was no exception, we had a beautiful lunch, opting for the midday/afternoon menu which offers plenty of choice. My grilled sea bream was excellent and my wife loved her paella. Really the price of 16 euros is more than excellent value for 3 courses, water, bread, and even a bottle of very drinkable wine. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is a joy to eat out on the terrasse overlooking the marina when the sun is shining. Highly recommend!

The old center of L'Escala is renewing its boardwalk and right there in the middle with a great view on the sea is restaurant La Punta. We arrived around 9:30p and were lucky to find a table on the terrace. The waiter was friendly and asked if we'd cared for a drink, which we did, so we ordered a bottle of Alabariño, one of the two on the short but very decent wine list. The menu had two or so options with meat, but everything else was seafood and fish, so it was clear what to order. We started with razor clams and calamares, both a la plancha. Both dishes were well proportioned and the high quality of the food was clear immediately: fresh products and excellently prepared with some oil, garlic, parsil and lemon. As a main dish we ordered the Arroz al bogovante, rice with lobster. It is similar to a paella but without safran and more fluid with more stock. The dish for two came in a large paellera, and was simply said... mind blowing!!! Tasty, fresh, with a lot of mariscos and large chunks of perfectly cooked lobster. It's hard to imagine a better seafood restaurant in town!With the bill (87 euro, a bargain for such a fine treat), we were offered a liquor on the house.No need to say, we went back to the hotel very very happy and satisfied!

This was a dining experience we had the 8 course menu de Degustation which was very good paired with the Wines. My one regret and down side is that I cannot remember more than half of the dishes. Which you should do so that would suggest that there were stars and black holes in the menu. The wines were excellent and worth the extra for the pairing

We ate here after a recommendation and were not disappointed. My husband and I had a tapas selection which was delicious, our children had steak and chips which was also very tasty. The view of the sunset was stunning and service with a smile.Good value, great food and friendly service - what more could you want.Definitely recommend.

June 2018 - Spent a few nights in Lâescala and was given a steer on Oreig.Had a craving for some sushi and to our surprise Oreig delivered on many fronts. Chilled relaxed atmosphere, good service, tasteful surroundings and most importantly some quality sushi. Balance was pretty much spot on and the offering quite varied. Wanted to try some of the more traditional Catalan dishes but ran out of time in Lâescala.Would go back for sure if visiting again.
