Our first visit to Shipwrights was a family affair with seafood platters and lots of fun and laughing so my wife and I, absolutely loving the mussels on the platters decided to return for a quiet evening at an awesome location.A shame it was off its excellent best : the mussels reflected that first try but the sauce was way too salty... my brideâs Barra main was outstanding, my pasta marinara over el dente and low on the taste of the sea.It is still a wonderful location: the wait staff were OK without shining.. in a crowded industry though the setting can only get you so far, especially on the expensive side of the ledger. So, a little off peak, but we will go back.. just to see if it will become a regular haunt....

We recently attended a wedding at the club. 1st impressions- what a spot! Right on the waterâs wedge before a boating marina- stunning! The club is beautiful and the reception very memorable. Excellent service and the food incredible. Beautiful dips and breads, fresh salads, seafood, pasta and pizzas. Fresh fruit platters- delicious above and beyond. A beautiful spot- stunning at night. Canât wait to return with friends to enjoy dining on the deck that looks out over the water. A hidden gem in Sydney that must be visited.

We have been coming here for a while now however I will not be returning. The prices are just too expensive for a fish and chip shop. We ordered 3 potato scallops and a large bbq octopus which cost close to $20. The potato scallops were bland and extremely oily. The bbq octopus was the biggest disappointment. We ordered the large which cost $16.80. The portion size was not even a hand full. I asked the cook there, which I believe is the owner, if he could show me the box he normally uses for the large octopus serve and he said there are no boxes it comes by the serve. I said to him this portion is ridiculously small for the price you are charging and he just looked at me with this arrogant attitude and I told him that I wasn't returning. Rude, slow service and will never return. I don't recommend this place at all, the "fresh" fish in the window looks like it has been sitting there for days and days and majority of it is not Australian or New Zealand fish. Disgusting.

We come here for the seafood basket. It's $20 and well worth it for the variety you get. You have to follow club rules eg no singlets no slippers etc.m to enter the resturant. Staff are often busy but usually nice.

We had lunch here to celebrate a birthday. We were a group of 12. It took a long time to take our order. The menu is limited with no vegetarian option. There were not even any veges as a side. In saying that the fish dishes - salmon & barramundi - were of a good size & presentation. They were enjoyed by all. The outlook is great & the decor fresh & updated.

Le Sands Restaurant Has Been Known For Fine Food, Great Service And Magnificent Views Since 1980. Located On The Waterâs Edge At Brighton Le Sands
Great restaurant. The food was incredible. 9 in our party and everyone loved their meal from entrée to desert. Loved the finishing touch of complimentary chocolate coated strawberries. Service was great, staff friendly and professional. Atmosphere and surroundings very relaxing. Great looking out over the bay to lights of distant foreshore. All the ladies were presented with a single red rose. Definitely go back.

Restaurant Is Open To The Public
I was treated to a dinner here for out first Fatherâs Day with the little man. This is an all you can eat seafood buffet. There is more than just seafood, just about something to cater for all tastes. As for the seafood, it is fantastic. There are cooked prawns, bugs, oysters, muscles, crab and even some salmon. All fresh and in abundance. There is a hot food area for some Singapore Crab and Lobster. The dessert table is cram packed with numerous sugary delights as well as ice cream. There is also tea and coffee and drinks to order.Just fantastic and would go back in a heartbeat. Dear Andrew M,Thank you dearly for this amazing review! We are so ecstatic that you were able to enjoy such a special occasion with your little man. We do have buffet nights running all throughout the week aside from Tuesday and Wednesday - and we would love to host you back for another visit. We appreciate your thoughts and are looking forward to having you again sometime soon.Best Regards,Leong YeohRestaurant and Bar Manager
