The city features a series of surviving 19th century buildings, including St George's Cathedral, known for its beautiful stained glass, and the Romanesque Cathedral of the Assumption. In the wharf area, visitors can see structures built from the tile and red brick that was used as ballast on trading ships from Britain, or head up to Fort Charlotte for a stunning view of the city.

The 6 of us went to celebrate a birthday and we weren't disappointed with the food, although the basic looking building is 'rustic'. The service was slow but this was largely due to our menu choices. We were warned that the lobster would take some time and it did. The lobster was succulent and the Mahi Mahi fish well seasoned. The accompaniments were tasty too and not too much, fried plantain, pasta salad, garden salad, piece of yam, fried vegetable rice and vegetables. The price was excellent, EC$20 for the fish dinner and EC$60 for the lobster. This will definitely be a regular eating place from now on when we're in SVG. The place was busy and even though it was Valentines Day we were told we didn't need to book which was correct, as we ate early. We were glad we hadn't come later as a group of about 20 came in as we sat eating and the kitchen was rushed off its feet.

Basic unadventurous food well-cooked and predictable. The favourite restaurant in the Buccament Bay resort...so someone must be pleased. Mostly meat...little choice of fish. But if that whatyou want... this is the place to go

Since the Wilkie's Restaurant at the Grand View Beach Hotel was only open for breakfast, the few guests were sent down to the Grand View Grill by the sea. For this one had to walk down several steps, but which was no problem for us.The place with its plastic chairs inside and benches outside looks like a simple eating place by the beach, somewhat incongruous with the rather noble boutique-style hotel to which it belongs. The Grill is run by very friendly Melanie from Canada, who sometimes can be seen also at the hotel's reception. What was not available on the first evening we could order on another day like Blackened Kingfish (with Cajun spices). We also tried Breadfruit Fries as a starter. Other meals we had was a good Grilled Mahi Mahi, a rather bland Chicken Teriyaki and a big succulent Steak.

What a pleasure to go out and lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday! The place was packed with local people all dressed in their finest apparel. There was a buffet on but we just felt like having pizza and ordered off the menu. The food was great as were the drinks. A great place to hang out on Sundays as there is also a band performing

Basil is a real gentleman and his vision, and focus on educational programs for the Island's children through an annual blues festival is to be commended. The location of his bar is a grant place to watch a sunset, meet friends for a drink, or if you are new to the Island, he will make you feel at home.

As we left our ship this restaurant was the first we saw. They were offering freee wi-fi if one purchased a drink. The wi-fi was fast and reliable which is quite unusual in the Caribbean . The owner was really nice . It's a small place and compared to other restaurants they were not liberty takersThank you for your kind words. We hope you enjoyed your visit to our island.
