Refreshing ! A real Greek place with great food and what is most important all ingredients are homegrown and fresh ! In the village of Arkesini look for the sign as the restaurant is a little on retreat of the road and another more commercial place is more visible

The restaurant (tsagaradiko) and coffee/breakfast place (harmolypi) are situated at my preferred square of chora amorgos. Surrounded by small churches the tables are nicely placed on both sides of the small pedestrian street and under the few trees in chora!!Service wise my experience was not great. 2 out of 3 waiters were gloomy and impolite. The 3rd managed to even out somehow the sevice experience... They made feel uncomfortable on several occasions. The experience got even worse when at my request to pay the bill by card the waiter impolitely suggested i visit an atm to get cash as their pos was broken...food wise: ok for breakfast/ omelettes and good juices.

We were driving from a north to south in Amorgos. Took a detour and ended up in this restaurant by accident. However, happy we did. Excellent location watching the sea.This local, family atmosphere when it is good. Service oriented staff and good quality food at reasonable prices.

We have been eating here for several years and always have a wonderful experience.We are always made to feel very welcome and we love the food. We had some absolutely wonderful grilled fish this year with fresh beetroots and greens and on another visit, delicious ceviche. We always order the feta from the oven as it is the best in town.The service is friendly, relaxed and the view across Katapola bay is so gorgeous.Our evenings spent at Almyriki are always some of the happiest of our entire trip.Thank you!

On the way to the beach we decided to eat something and we've found a wonderful restaurant by the waterfront, Vintsentzos ...and that was it ! This is one of the very few places in Amorgos. I could say that you truly feel like home with home made food. We had a lovely table in a beautiful setting outside. The service was very good, attentive and friendly. We've ordered fried gavros and veggie meals. Mmmmmm... heaven in my mouth!". Just like Mom used to make. Definitely a worthwhile stop while visiting Katapola. Arrive hungry!

We tried this restaurant after having read incredibly positive reviews. Suggested as the best restaurant in Amorgos, we came here for a quite early dinner, when many tables were still free and there was no pressure or chaos.We waited a while to get someone to take our orders, and this already gave us a glimpse of what the service was. The starters came many minutes apart, so I had to start eating alone, while my boyfriend was still waiting for his starter to arrive. The main dishes came simultaneously. However, during the dinner, my boyfriend had to napkin.The food was food. The fish is fresh and the fish itself is a good combination of tradition ingredients and a modern twist.The service doesn't compare with the food, the location and the prices at all.In my opinion, a good service can make an average food very good, but and average service is never compensated by good food.

The menu is not typical Greek taverna fare. The dishes are more sophisticated and are created by chef/owner Vangelis who has a real love for his job. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is excellent. There is always something interesting to watch at the quayside opposite the restaurant.

Had a late lunch at this typical family place on the front. The usual taverna menu. We chose a few dishes - Taramasalata, meatballs, sardines, Greek salad. All well prepared and served by a pleasant young waitress. A glass of the local honey raki liqueur to finish.Recommended.
