Came here for lunch with friend and left here very full and satisfied. Was with a friend who spoke the language so it was a plus. You basically order from the front which seafood or frogs you want. Tell them how you want it cooled, spicy, sweet, etc and they do it for you. You can also just ask them to do it how they see fit. Everything we ordered came out quickly. The beers are just serve yourself from the cooler. For 3 adults and 2 kids the bill was quite cheep. Iâd recommend this place for seafood lovers. Great experience. Friendly staff.

Went with some local business colleagues. Maybe more recommended for business purposes. There are no prices on the menu plus I believe the market price is applied here, better ask however the food is tasty, well prepared. We had the crab fried with garlic, boiled fish, prawns, squid, all very nice.No remarks on the taste and preparation of the dishes.

After 2-3 hours cycling along the beachfront, we returned our rented electric bicycle and walked along the crowded Miaoqian Road. After passing the Tianhou temple, there are several seafood restaurants lining the street. We settled for no 35, Qijin seafood restaurant as the restaurant looks clean and neat with a wide display of fresh seafood on ice at the shop front. We picked our seafood, a red garoupa fish, sea cucumber and a whole squid. These were weighed on the spot. We added a fresh vegetable to complement the dish. We were led inside the air-conditioned restaurant. Interestingly, to get your cold drinks and beer, you just need to help yourself at the back of the restaurant and pick your drink from the large glassed panel fridge. A drink opener is available at each table. You would need to ask for glasses should you need it. The dishes arrived in under 15 minutes, mostly cooked steamed and lightly stir fried. The sea cucumber was a delight a 150NT that we asked for a 2nd order. With 2 large bottles of Asahi beer, our total cost amounts to 1,300NT for our family of 3 adults. A reasonable price for fresh seafood.

LOCAL BANQUETThe English name seems incongruous with the Chinese name, which is simply âBIG EIGHTâ. The number eight in Chinese culture is very lucky and auspicious for good fortune and prosperity. The name is extremely attractive for faithful patronage of local customers. I recall this popular restaurant ever since I first moved here over 20 years ago.FOODWith multiple stores in the Kaohsiung city, this brand has been synonymous with Japanese style food. Over time, with the addition of other Asian influences and flavors, the brand has maintained a delightful dining standard and the Cantonese style cuisine is also now a specialty feature of their dining experience.ENVIRONMENTThere are several floors with multiple dining halls and chambers. Have been to several corporate business banquets here and happy with the standard of service, food and ambience. This branch is near MRT HanShin Arena.

This restaurant is located on 43 floor of Grand Hi-Lai Hotel. The decoration and layout of the restaurant is fantastic. The foods layout is wide spread which include western foods, Japanese and local. The ice coffee is very good. The only minus is you can't see the outside view.

The food servings are as great as it used to be.The tables, chairs n the whole decoration were renovated recently. To be honest, it definitely can take more customers now than before. But the beautiful n luxurious environment it had is gone. The comfortable n colorful chairs with armrests were replaced by ordinary ones, so were the lower tables. It gives an impression that customers there only want to have a big meal. No more than that.

Located on the second floor (stairs), nIce atmosphere, looks like a high quality place. Menu is mostly sets: Lobster & prime steaks ($1300-$2800), non-prime steaks ($500-$900) some Italian (spaghetti/risotto dishes ($400-$600). Sets include salad, soup, desert, main course, drink choice. A la carte menu had some additional choices. I ordered the seafood risotto with truffles ($580) plus an a la carte scallop and salmon roe ($320). Everything was presented nicely (top chef style with highlight touches on everything). Delicious filling meal. The seafood was tempura, lots of truffles, fresh asparagus. The scallops were nicely seared with little piles of caviar on top also with fresh asparagus. Limited selection of drinks - 1 beer, a few wines, some mixed drinks assorted teas, milk coffee, coke. Salad had fruit, a little meat, some walnuts, lettuce, tomato, raisins. Seemed like professional wait staff - very attentive although not much English. All in all I thought it was a very nice meal. Bathroom had American style toilets.
