Its traditional name was based on being just east of Maryland's traditional Horse Country (like the Kentucky Blue Grass region), and the site of the venerable Maryland Hunt Cup championship of steeplechase horse racing and jumping established 1894. It lies just north of the city of Baltimore, along the York Road (former old historic Baltimore-York Turnpike) which is now Maryland Route 45 off Interstate 83. The Loch Raven Reservoir nearby is an important drinking water resource and with its surrounding forested watershed is one of three reservoirs (Loch Raven, Prettyboy and Liberty) established for the City of Baltimore and its surrounding metropolitan areas in Baltimore County since the 1880s and expanded in the 1910s. Located at a latitude of 39.5° North and longitude 76.7° West.

The purpose of Restaurant Week is to entice customers to try restaurants. That is exactly what we did. We went to Pappas in Cockeysville; we had visited the Pappas in Parkville but not the one in Cockeysville. We were pleased that they honored my request for a quiet table and sat us in a small, back dining room. Patty, our server, was quick to come over and greet us and welcome us to Pappas. Patty really took excellent care of us â she paid attention to all the details. My husband and I decided to do the Restaurant Week menu; our friends ordered off the regular menu. We started off with the Fried Green Tomatoes Caprese Tower â not much of a tower, it was laid down, but really tasty. I originally ordered the Broiled Rockfish and Crab, but had to send it back as the first few bites had bones in it. Patty very quickly offered me something else. I went with the Ed Block Colossal Courage Crab Cake. It was huge â 10 ounces and very good. My husband ordered the Ribeye â 14 ounces of beef over hash browns topped with a mountain of crispy onions. He had enough crispy onions to share with the table. Our friends split a Double the Pleasure â two of Pappasâs famous crab cakes. We all enjoyed our dinners. For our sweet ending, we shared the Peanut Butter Pie and a Chocolate Mousse Cake. They both were decadent, rich and so satisfying. We will definitely return to Pappas. The girls up front were more interested in messing with their hair. It took 20 minutes to get our order. The crab cakes were good . As long as we waited we did expect them to be hot. We ate them less than 4 minutes after we got them. They were only 5 ounces but had a lot of meat. Sorry it took longer than you wanted. It's usually about a 15 minute wait from the time you order if the order is not called in ahead of time. I'm glad you enjoyed the crab cakes though!

When in Timonium with my wife, I love to stop by Bluestone. Unfortunately we donât get there often. Today we enjoyed happy hour with three appetizers.. The tuna, fried green tomatoes, and baked brie were great. Service was good and the locals enjoyed their visit. Definitely coming back. Thanks!!

We sat in the outside bar area on a nice Thursday evening. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The beers were cold and the Lobster Roll ($25) was delicious. They put the mayo sauce on the side. Came with boardwalk like fries. Lots of free on site parking.

I do go here often for lunch and dinner and am never disappointed. The staff and servers are excellent and so is the food. They just opened a second location which I plan of visiting. There is music at nights in the bar area and a very nice outside eating area on the patio off the bar. I like their Moscow Mule drinks and crab cakes. Today for lunch I had their seafood Tacos which were terrific and my guest had the burger which he said was amazing.Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience with us!
