BOLERO Restaurante - Tapas, Paellas y Vinos. Centrally located near train station and air conditioned at Bundesplatz Lucerne (with highspeed WIFI). We offer you our famous pinchos-buffet (tapas), paellas - live cooked from our front-cooking station - fill
Located in the Cascada Hotel where we were staying, so hotel took care of making the reservation for us (and staying in the hotel gave us a discount). Restaurant is Spanish, with emphasis on tapas and paella. We each chose the 3 course tapas menu, which consisted of unlimited tapas bar, seafood course and dessert course. A meat course is also offered so we could have done one each (or each had both!) Most items from the tapas bar were toasts with something on top, but also included great empanada and some skewers of meat and chicken. We had a huge bowl of fantastic mussels with the seafood course, along with shrimp, sea bass, calamari, and cod croquette. And 4 desserts each! We enjoyed everything. There is also paella - you pick the ingredients (40 minutes prep time). Also a la carte menu with Spanish dishes. Restaurant was very crowded and busy, but the service was surprisingly good. Highly recommended if you like Spanish food.Dear dayhikers, We thank you so much for sharing your opinion on TripAdvisor. We are happy that you had a wonderful stay with us. And as well thank you for your compliment for our tapas menu. It was our pleasure to serve and host you. We are delighted to lean that you had such a wonderful time and we would like to thank you once again for your most charming words. It would be our pleasure to welcoming you back in the not too distant future.Sunny greetings, Eveline Limacher, guest relations manager & team

Iâm from a city that is proud of its Italian heritage and its pizza (Chicago), so my standard is high. The pizza here is very good. Probably the best Naples style prosciutto credo that Iâve had. Service was very friendly and helpful. Very good menu selections.

With its impressive views from the large lakeside terrace and its stylish interior Restaurant Olivo is as rewarding as a short break away, whatever the weather. At lunchtime and dinner Chef Hugues Blanchard and his team serve culinary delights inspired by
The restaurant is located above the casino and it is decorated with classic grandeur with high ceilings and chandeliers. We went without reservations and were the first guests for dinner. We were later told by the staff there that the building used to be a library. The menu was very interesting and the wines had good choices. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 mains and a bottle of French wine. The food is well plated and taste really fresh, delicious and definitely memorable (see the pictures). You have the feel that the chef takes pride in his creations. I have no hesitation to re-visit this restaurant if I were to be in Lucerne again.Dear mosto, thank you very much for your positive feedback. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience and are looking forward to welcome you again. All the best,Katharina â Restaurant Olivo TripAdvisor Team

A family run business of people from Calabria usually promises good cooking, friendly service, nice ambiance. For restaurant La Grotta you may simply forget all these expectations. Location is on a shop level on Horw main Street and interiors are basic and poorly decorated. Service is rude, brusk and unaccomodating. We had one pasta with clams, which was between poor and average and a miserable Penne Siciliane (short pasta with tomato and aubergine sauce) which was overcooked and tasteless and we had to send it back. They recooked the pasta and at this time they served a pasta which was really hard and nearly raw. They have apologized stating that Swiss like overcooked pasta (litterally). I have been in so many Swiss restaurants and I never got such miserable quality of pasta and service. A mousse au chocolat and a tiramisù, both of average quality, concluded our lunch combined with a small bottle of Pellegrino water and two glasses of house White wine. Guess the price for this terrible experience: Swiss francs 79,50, which means Euros 66,25. Conclusion: stay away.
